High Five

It's Friday and I really am in love with Fridays!!
I mean, what is there not to love?
I got to sleep an extra 2 hours, am wearing jeans, and picked up Chick Fil A for breakfast...
I'm as happy as a clam!!

I'm also happy about linking up with my favorite gals.
First up, Lauren who blogs over at From My Grey Desk.

High Five for Friday is a weekly post about your five favorite things recently. it's a chance to stop and reflect on the things that you've enjoyed over the past week, which is something we should all do.

{ONE}
BUNCO.
I played. I won. I loved.
And now I cannot wait to play again.
I won $35 and got this awesome little gift.
Two of my favorite things....fingernail polish and lip gloss!

{TWO}
I had a very successful first week back in the gym.
AND I successfully said no to a free donut yesterday....yes, I am proud of myself.

{THREE}
My attempt at an outfit post.
It's the best I've got for now...
please don't be too harsh.

{FOUR}
My date last night.  Mexican restaraunt is always high on my list.
Chips, salsa, beers, and good company.
Yes, please!

{FIVE}
I bought a new blog design.  AHHHHH!!  Should be up this weekend!
I'm so excited...and it's one more thing that I get to mark off of my 101 in 1001.

Also linking up with Shane from Whispering Sweet Nothings.

Happy happy Friday lovelies!!

It's Ok

It's ok that I got to sleep in this morning at the expense of a slightly lower paycheck next month. More on that later

It's ok that I got some delish biscuit and gravy from Hardee's this morning...my weakness!

It's ok that I somehow managed to get a free personal training session yesterday...
It's also ok that I literally cannot move today.
Anddd it's ok that bc I cannot move, I think I'll be skipping the hardcore workout today and maybe replacing it with a nice long walk outside with Coral. :)

It's ok that I also get to sleep in slightly tomorrow because I have professional development that begins at 9 as opposed to school that begins at 7:45.

It's ok that I still sometimes play old school mario and donkey kong. I'm ok with being a nerd.

It's ok that I MIGHT be taking a spontaneous trip this weekend to my absolute fave place. :)))

It's ok that I'm kinda on a roll, but I think I'll stop for now!

Happy happy Thursday lovelies! We all successfully made it over the hump.

Wednesday Loves

Oh, Wednesday! Boy am I happy you are here.  That means we are almost over the hump...
The first week back from Spring Break has been less than exhilerating, but I was so happy to see my kiddos!!
It's just that I hate my alarm clock.
I guess hate is a little harsh, but I dispise it....big time!

I have relied on lots of coffee this week and that + the Drop 10 Challenge don't really compliment each other well.
Anways, we know what Wednesday brings...
two of my fave link ups.

First up, WILW with Jamie

{ONE}
Last night, I attended my first bunco party....SO MUCH FUN!

{TWO}
I blogged a few weeks ago about my new heart rate monitor watch that I ordered off of 1saleaday.
I used it for the first time on Monday and OMG amazing!!
It's so convenient and I stared at it like a maniac during my workout Monday afternoon.
I have to admit, I was less than thrilled when I realized that this magical little watch alone wasn't capable of keeping up with my heart rate.
WHAT, I have to wear this belt thingyyy.....seriously?
Well, who would've known that's it's really no big deal.
I put it right under the bottom band of my sports bra and it worked like a charm...
it didn't move and you couldn't even tell I was wearing it.
AWESOME!
I still can't believe I only paid $10!!!

Second up, Oh How Pinteresting with Michelle.

Happy Wednesday!!!

Little Miss Sunshine

Color Crush:  Yellow
Yellow has always been one of my favorite colors, but I'm loving that yellow is everywhere now!

Anyone out there in the mood for buying?

I'll take a big beautiful house in TUSCANY with a fabulous yellow door with an awesome vintage yellow bicycle parked in the front yard, k thanks!!

I saved the best for last.
I'm linking up with the fabulous Neely and Amber for their spring link up.

If these don't scream SPRING, I don't know what does.

The Color Issue blogged about these yesterday and I'm going crazy for them!!

Is it crazy for me to buy a dozen cartons.
I don't even know what I will do with them, but I'm obsessed!!!

Happy Tuesday and happy Spring!!!

Miscellany Monday

How did this happen?
Spring break has come and gone in the blink of an eye and Monday has arrived.
Time to get back in the groove and time to link up with Carissa.
Write random and link up.

{ONE}
I miss Chicago and my lovely bff,
but I think one of my top favorite things from this trip was meeting these kiddos.
While I was in Chicago, Shelby and I volunteered with an organization called Off the Street Club.
Please watch this video...it will give you just a very small glipmse of what Off the Street Club is all about.
This organization only made me want to live in Chicago even more.
Being a part of the these children's lives, even for just one night, was absolutely amazing.
They overcome so much more than I have ever, in 26 years, had to experience.
They deserve to be children, and through Off the Street Club, they are given that opportunity.

There are ways that you can help.
Go here and find out what you can do.

{TWO}
My dog apparently thinks she is something special.
Exhibit A.
Exhibit B.
{THREE}
Look who got her new planner!?!?

This did, kind of, make going back to school a little bit more exciting!
And it came with some free gift tags.
How awesomeeee is that!?!

{FOUR}
Smell the Roses with Jess from Lovely Little Things

This week's task:
Do something that is unique to where you live.

I went hiking at Red Mountain Park.
Red Mountain Park is a 1,200 acre former iron ore mining mountain located in Birmingham.  This park has just recently opened up it's first phase to the public and I was excited to check it out.
{Via}

Like major parks across America, including New York’s Central Park and Golden Gate Park in SanFrancisco, Red Mountain Park will be a long-term work in progress. It will be developed over a lengthy period, with plans adapted to changing conditions and public demand.

Unfortunately, I didn't get many pics...except the one above of Coral mud bathing, but it was a lot of fun and I will def go back!!

Happy Monday lovelies.
XoXo
