It's OK...

To have an off day.

I'm happy 99% of the time, but last night I was bummed for no apparent reason. I think it's ok and pretty normal to feel this way every once in a while. The important thing is that I eventually snap out of it and remember how lucky I am to have food, water, shelter, clothing, and much much more.

Do any of you have these kind of days?

I'm sure someone out there is having one today so here is some inspiration...

It's so easy to get caught up in the stresses of every day life and forget how fortunate we really are.

Although bubble baths are always a good idea, did you know they could also help cheer you up?

Does anyone else benefit from a good cry. Although I didn't get to this point last night, I always feel better after a good cry.

It's so good for the soul. Have you ever tried it?

Friends...

I have the best friends and they aways cheer me up when I'm down.

To live for Sonic's happy hour!!

To lay by the pool with a good book, even though I have more productive things to do.

To ignore furbabies whines in the middle of the night...and promise myself that if she isn't back to sleep in 5 minutes that I'll take her out.

To dream about fall constantly, knowing that it will also mean an end to summer.

I know I'll miss summer, but I am so ready for everything fall!!!

Online window shopping. I even add stuff to my cart with no intent to purchase. Am I the only one?

The Simple Things

Being back in the states makes me really appreciate the simple things that aren't a part of everyday island life...

-drive thru's
-sweet tea
-cars as opposed get getting everywhere by golf cart
-Internet that doesn't go out every 5 seconds
-movie theaters, even though I haven't made it there yet
-puppy kisses
-last, but def not least, having my family and friends within driving distance is the greatest!!!

The Simple Things

Today's tropical Thursday is just a few of my favorite pictures.

These are just the simple things that make this island what it is. I love that this place is a true Bahamian place drenched with culture.

Today's drink of choisce is Kalik. I love it!

The simple things that i love about Harbour Island...

-Driving golf carts

-Drinking a beer no matter what time of day it is

-the pink sandy beaches

-waving to everyone

-boat rides

-sunsets

-the chickens that roam the streets and wake you up at 7 AM

-the potcakes

-and most of all my friends!!

This is my last tropical Thursday post...I'm headed off the island in 2 days. These are just some of the things that I will miss once I'm gone.
