What I'm loving Wednesday

So my job in the Bahamas is done and I'm home bound in the next couple of weeks although I'm super sad and will miss these guys tremendously I'm so happy to be going home.

With that said, here is what I'm loving today...

{ONE}
I'm loving that if my sis holds off until her due date or even until the 1st of August, that I will hopefully be home for Colin's entry into the world!!! I'm also loving that I'll be home for some of Kim's maternity leave...we have sister time to catch up on.

{TWO}
On the same note, I'm just loving that I'll be with my entire family again and close to most of my friends... I can't wait for family nights and girls nights with my bff's!!
I especially can't wait to love on all of my babies whenever I feel like it!!

{THREE}
I'm loving that I might be taking this little guy home with me.

{FOUR}
I'm loving that I've talked with some of my awesome previous employers and they are happy to put me to work until I find a new job!! I can't wait to see the kids that I've taken care of in the past.

{FIVE}
I'm loving that my time left in Harbour Island is vacation for me...I'm enjoying sleeping in and hanging out with my friends. I had drinks with a couple of my girlfriends last night at Valentines and this is the sunset we got to experience.
Absolutely gorgeous!!!

Happy Wednesday lovies!!!

Friday Favorites

I am so inspired by Lauren Conrad that I decided to copy her Friday Favorites idea. She has some good faves so go check her out.

My favorite thing to do in my free time.
Read a book

Or paint my nails.
I've become slightly obsessed with nail polish.

My favorite time of day.
The sunsets here,somehow, get better and better.

My favorite bag.
I've also become slightly obsessed with seahorses.

My favorite accessory.

Alicia gave me this necklace a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love it!!!
I wear it all the time.

From paradise, I wish you all a Happy weekend.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

{One}
I finished L.A. Candy and it was amazing! I already downloaded the sequel, Sweet Little Lies, and I can't wait to start it.
In case you all didn't know, I am slightly obsessed with Lauren Conrad!

I read her blog everyday. You all should check it out @ laurenconrad.com.
She is starting a book club if anyone is interested.

{two}
I am still loving the Bahamas...I don't think that is going to change anytime soon. I mean what's not to love.

Morning walks on the beach.

My toes in the sand.

Sunsets

Boat rides

Play dates
Posey became pretty attached to Caroline's hat. Haha.

{three}
I have really been broadening my horizons when it comes to food. I never eat seafood, but last night at dinner I ate Maui Maui.

Crazy, right? I actually liked it.
I also took a bite of a chicken wing. I almost gagged, but at least I tried it.

{four}
I'm so excited that I haven't lost any more sunglasses. I lost like 3 pair, one was recovered, during my first ten days here. I think I have learned my lesson. Never wear them in the ocean!!

{five}
I crave chips and salsa almost everyday. Must be something about the beach.

{six}
I hardly ever drink sodas anymore. I was drinking a lot of cokes back in NY and I am so happy that I go most days without, but when I do drink it, I only have a can and I rarely ever even finish it. That's awesome for me. I'm a sucker for fountain drinks and those aren't available so it makes it a lot easier.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

I'm still alive and I promise I will try to blog more. I have had an eventful weekend.

{One}
Last week, I was invited to a Cinco de Mayo party. It was so much fun. I got to meet so many people. We had delicious food and a pinata.
Here I am taking my swings.

{Two}
Saturday night, I got off early and headed out on the boat with some friends to watch the sunset and to do some fishing. It was amazing.
{Three}
Sunday I headed out on the boat again for a long day of boatin
g, snorkeling, and fishing.

Right as we were getting started, we saw 2 dolphins up close and personal. It was amazing. One of the girls even jumped in to try to get a little closer.
Moving on... We did lots of snorkeling. We saw some amazing fish and a turtle. I even swam with a shark. Not on purpose!!! And believe me, as soon as I noticed I bee lined it back to the boat.
It was hidden in the coral so I didn't notice it right off the bat.
I also swam with a barracuda which was actually even scarier then the shark because he was coming right toward us.
These guys are definitely not known for their friendly nature.
Here are some random pics from the day that I got on my cell.
Spanish Wells

Relaxing on the boat.
Some of the fish that the boys caught.
The sunset from Ramora Bay, which is my favorite place! It also happens to be the place where everyone that I hang out with keeps their boats.

{Four}
I am really having dog fever. There are lots of strays, known as potcakes that live on the island. The ones that I know are such sweet and loving dogs. I want one.

{Five}
Today is my sister, Kim's, birthday!! Happy birthday Kim! I love you!!!

Check out her blog The Street Family

{Six}
I am really missing my family lately. My sis sent me some pics of the babies this weekend and I get a little choked up knowing that I am so far away and can't just hop in my car to go and see them. It was hard this weekend bc of Mother's Day. I knew everyone was spending great family time together and I was left out. What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger. Right?

{Six}
I was initiated as a real Bahamian yesterday for gutting my first fish. My bracelets now smell really really bad!!

{Seven}
Happy Monday! Mine has been great so far and I just made dinner plans with a new friend/nanny on the island. Im super excited.

Fun Friday

I'm so thankful for the safety of my family and friends back home after the tornadoes that have destroyed parts of Alabama.

To say that I was freaking out 2 nights ago, would be a huge understatement. Please pray for those who have lost loved ones or has suffered severe damage due to these storms. Also, please pray for the safe return of those who are still missing.

On a happier note, I am having a blast in the Bahamas. It's been windy the last couple of days, but it's actually kind of nice since it is scorching.

Yesterday, we spent hours at the beach. I had so much fun playing in the ocean with the kids. Posey is not scared of anything and the boys definitely outdid me while surfing the waves, without surfboards. I lost the battle against some waves and had to say goodbye to a new pair of sunglasses. One down, 3 to go.
Last night, we rode over to Eleuthera on a friend's boat and walked around the island, watching the sunset. It was incredible. Here are some pics.

I also got to see Lenny Kravitz boat. Maybe I will get to meet him.

Today is Friday!! I'm starting it out as usual, with a cup of coffee. I bought a new coffee mug at the airport and I'm in love.

I'm taking a quick break from Harry Potter to read this...

I'm in a Lauren Conrad craze right now. Happy Friday friends!!!
