Weak Sauce

Week sauce is the state of my arms right now. It's pretty pathetic, but my forearms are so sore from a weekend of fun!!! Between 2 days full of pool volleyball and kneeboarding, I could barely straighten my hair this morning. Weak sauce, I know!!

{Lake}

This weekend was spent with my family at my mom and stepdad's house on the lake. We enjoyed spending time together getting pruny in the pool. Aside from pool fun, we were busy...

Taking boat rides,

Loving on the babies,

Eating delicious food, celebrating my brother's birthday, eating Zoe's chocolate cake,

Kneeboarding, cliff jumping, rope swinging, and more. My three newest addictions are Dominos, pool volleyball, and fruit ninja on my iPhone.

{Work}

My brother and I are doing a marketing job for Adobe this week. The job requires us to promote Adobe on a college campus pretty close to my mom's house so my brother and I will be spending the week reliving our childhood. I see lots of dominos, phase 10, fishing, and yummy homemade dinners in my near future!!

{Roles reversed}

I'm playing mom tonight and cooking a yummy dinner. My favorite meal...chicken in Italian dressing with rice and green beans. Im so excited!

Bachelor Pad, yummy dinner, and furbaby cuddles are calling my name.

4 days until girl's weekend

12 days until the first Bama game...I'm so excited that I get to go.

12 days until our family beach trip

What I'm loving Wednesday

{Hunger Games}

I'm loving that I'm finally gonna be in the cool crowd of people who are obsessed with this book. I finally got my hands on a copy and I can't wait to start it.

{Golden Girls}

I've always loved these hilarious ladies!! I'm so glad to be back in the states where I can watch this show almost any time of day on the Hallmark channel. I went to bed watching them last night and woke up watching them this morning.

And yea, I own every season.

{Lark}

I'm loving this little guy.

I'm babysitting my friend's baby, Larkin, today and we are having so much fun. He is sleeping now, but we had lots of fun playing in bubbles this morning.

{Lake}

I love family time and I love the lake. Im getting both this weekend and I absolutely cannot wait.

{Coral}

I'm loving that Coral is getting better. I had quite the scare 2 nights ago. She threw up all night long. I was scared that she had parvo, but after a trip to the vet, we've discovered that it's hook worms. She has been on antibiotic for 2 days and seems to be back to herself again.

I love lake days. I spent the entire day on the lake with part of the fam. Boat rides, relaxation, music, hot dogs, cold beverages, good company...what could be better.

We did hit a little bit of rain, but rest assured that I found safety. I stuffed myself in the small compartment right against the windshield. My mom was able to capture this pic.

{Traveling}

I'm super excited to share with you all that I have a 3 week vacation coming up very soon!!! Sept 3-10, I'll be heading to Panama City Beach for my annual family beach trip.

Then I'm leaving straight from PCB to fly to Mexico for 2 weeks.

I'll share more about my trips later, but I'm super excited!!

Independence Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July holiday!

I have quite a bit to post about tonight, starting from the beginning. My weekend got an early start because I was off Friday!! Always great news. Thursday, Kelley got off work early so he decided to come hang out with me and Alli. We didn't have much planned so we were just hanging out at Kim's. When Kelley arrived, he let me in on a little fact that he had been bitten by something, possibly a spider. The bite and the surrounding of the bite looked awful. So being the concerned girlfriend that I am, I loaded Alli up and we all headed to the doctor's office to get it checked out. The doc took care of it and back to Kim's we went.

Kelley was also off work Friday, so we decided to do some shopping. We had lots of fun spending time together on our off day.

Friday night, Kelley and I had plans to attend a cook-out at Kim and Eli's. Jackie and Justin, friends of ours, were coming in town from Tuscaloosa to hang out for the night. Jackie and Kim graduated from Alabama together.

We decided to segregate the boys and girls. Boys stayed home and we, girls, went to see a movie.

Kim and Jackie had both read My Sister's Keeper so we decided to go see it. I hadn't finished it, but heard that readers were a little disappointed with the movie. I decided to watch the movie first so that I wouldn't be as upset with the ending. The movie was great!!! So sad, but so good.

I still plan on reading the book when I finish the 4th Twilight book.

I highly recommend seeing this movie, but be prepared by taking some tissue.

Saturday we woke up and got ready to head to my mom and step-dad's to hang out at the lake. Jackie and Justin went to Justin's parents and Kim, Eli, Kelley, and I went to the lovely Pell City. (A little sarcasm, but we still love the lake)

I had such a wonderful weekend with some of the most important people in my life. I am so thankful for the things in my life.

Today, we got to sleep in a bit and then hang out around the house in Pell City. Around 3, Kim, Eli, Kelley, and I headed back to Helena. We had chicken spaghetti and caesar salad for dinner...mmm! SO good! Now we are watching Bride Wars...I have seen it before so I have been multitasking for a bit, but now I am going to focus all of my attention on the movie.
