High Five

I'm beyond excited that Friday has finally arrived.  I've been swamped with paper work this week so I'm glad for this week to be overrrr.

Here are my five fave things from this week.

It's been my first full week getting back on track with my eating/exercising in a while.

It feels good!

::two::

Wearing my new statement necklaces!

::three:: 

Drinking my wine that I bought in Nashville back in January.  I was saving it for a special occasion and finally opened it when I finished writing my IEP's this week.

So yummy!

:::four::

The new quote that I added to my picture frame this week. 

Very suiting in my life right now. 

::five::

Another week down of school, only 2 more Friday's after today.

That is soooo crazy to think about.

Ahhhh....summer, here I come!

I'm not really sure why my nails and toes look kind of reddish in these pics, but this color is sooo very orange...neon orange.  I love it, but it doesn't photograph well.

It's been a crazy, roller coaster of a ride, king of week for me.

My daily Strawberry Uncrustable.

Yes, I like them that much!

I eat lunch every day between 12:20 and 12:40, but I start thinking about my lunch around 10.

Is this just me?

::two::

I love that every night this week, I've been in bed by 8 or 9 to read and usually asleep by 9:30 or 10.

I love having an hour or so to read before bed every night.

I really think it helps me to sleep better.

::three::

New Girl this week.  OMG I hope that you all watch that show!

It's fantastic and it's pretty much the only show that I sat and watched this week.

It goes very well with my number 4.

My new fave!!!  It's so perfect for this time of year.

I treated myself to a pedi yesterday.

I literally would get one once a week if I could afford it...

Note to self...my future husband must like feet.

 It's Friday and I'm not at work.

Yes you read right.  3 day weekend for me.

Let's get on to it, shall we?

High Five-top 5 things from this week.

::one::

An afternoon with 2 of my nieces.

Londyn Kate in green and Blakely in blue.

We went to the outdoor mall and they just loved the fountains and they emptied out all of my change in the wishing well.

LK might be the only 3 year old I know that wishes for new Tom's for her birthday.  :)

::two::

I bought myself some new Tom's with a gift card that I was given for Christmas.

I also discovered that I fit into kids sizes which makes me very happy.

Cheaper Tom's, people!!

::three::

I signed up for a coffee mug swap and I got paired with one of my bloggy bff's,

Jess from Lovely Little Things.
 I was so excited to shop for her and find her the perfect coffee cup.

I received mine this week and I LOVE it!!

Jessica, you know me alright.  I love my new mug.

::four::

We had field day at school yesterday.

Fun and crazy, but mostly just craxy.

But we did get these...my fave!

::five::

Last night, we had a fabulous girl's night.

We started the night off at a local wine bar for a free beer tasting.

While we were there, we met a woman who blogs for AL.com. 

 She asked if she could take a picture of us...which turned into 45 very maticulous pictures and then asked us a few questions. 

I didn't get one single pic of us girls so I'm kind of stalking her blog to see if I can steal the picture she took of us.

We then went to On Tap for a quick dinner/1 more adult beverage before our midnight movie.

We went to see The Lucky One.

We, Kim (my sis), Candace, and I, had all been anxiously awaiting this movie. 

We all 3 read the book....so amazing for those of you who haven't read it yet. 

And we all know how gorgeous Zac Efron is....I need a man like him in my life.

Hooray it’s FRIDAY!! 

Aside from my extreme laziness this week, it’s been a good week. 

I’m sharing my 5 favorite things from this week…

{one}

I wore my first Maxi dress of the year.  I seriously own only 1 so buying more is def on my to-do list.  I just love how comfortable and stylish they are.

{two} 

We all know how much I love lists.  Any kind of list really, but I found some great pintables on Pinterest and I printed a Spring Bucket List and a Blog Weekly Calendar.  I’m always thinking to myself, “I should blog about this” but then I forget so I’m hoping my weekly calendar will help.

{three}

I’ve applied for several different jobs over the past couple of days.  I’m extremely anxious about the job search and really just want to stay where I’m at. L

{four}

I’ve recently discovered a new grocery store in my area.  It is AMAZING.  It’s called ALDI and everything is way cheaper than your typical grocery store.  They have great produce and some other items, but isn’t the kind of store where you can buy everything on your list.  This week specials…

.79 cent strawberry

.99 cent pineapples

.99 cent cantaloupes

Have I made my point yet or should I keep going?

Just to make sure… $1.69 per pound for jumbo pack of fresh chicken breasts

I've made a breakthrough this week and actually done some outfit posts...

Are they professional?  Absolutely not!

Are they taken in a garden of beautiful flowers?  Not even close....

Do they show off my outfit.  Yes.

That's the point, right?

I bougth this double finger ring while I was in Chicago and it's my favorite.

I absolutely love it!  I had been wanting one for so long and I found this one at Forever 21.

Last weekend as I was printing coupons for my shopping spree, I came across a $2 off In Style magazine...of course I had to buy it since I had a coupon! 

I love reading magazines and this magazine was such a great purchase.

I was marking pages left and right to refer back to.

My favorite thing about this issue...

These Neutral Know How cards are AMAZINGGGGG!!

I have planned every one of my outfit's this week based on these cards.

These cards are my new BEST FRIEND!

I bought an amazing deal on Living Social!! $20 for $120 worth of sunglasses from Specs on the Beach.

There are tons of glasses to look through, but I see some Ray-Ban's in my future.  :)

 {five}

My goal this week was to drink less soda....the good news is I have only had ONE coke zero.

I am sooo proud of myself because it has been hard, but I know that if I can make it all week with only 1 that I can def give up soda.

My goal next week is to have none!!!

I think soda is my biggest setback so this is awesome news.

I know I can do this.

I am having the absolute best time in Chicago!!

I'll save my recaps for next week, but today I'm here with the regular scheduled program.

And don't judge me for blogging on vacay.

Shelby and I share a love for the blogging world and also have a bit of friendly blogging competition going on, so we are enjoying blog hour together.

It's a bonding experience, okay!  :)

 {ONE}I received my March Birchbox.I'm always so excited to see what's inside...this month didn't disappoint.

 I love love love the bright orange polish and I cannot wait to try it out.
{TWO}

I also received my new heart rate monitor watch.  I'm borderline addicted to watches and working out right now...so this product was right up my alley.  I bought it on 1saleaday.com for less than $20...I kind of can't remember the actual price...it shipped so fast though and I cannot wait to try it out.
{THREE}

 

I got myself a mani/pedi...nothing new huh?  

I feel like I do this once a week or so.  It's my guilty pleasure ok!  

I boycotted acrylic nails for a while and I'm still wondering why I got them, but it is nice to have pretty nails that last for more than 2-3 days.  I love that they last for more like 2-3 weeks.

{FOUR}

I had strawberry shortcake for the first time this week.  UMMM can someone explain how I've been missing out on such a delicious combination???

It's probably my new favorite dessert.

{FIVE}Meg from Simply Complicated blogged last week about the romantic qualities of an airport.So I arrive at the airport on Wednesday night and I'm immediately overjoyed by all of the family members waiting with welcome home signs for their loved ones who had been away serving our country.  I literally couldn't even focus on the fact that I had a plane to catch....I so badly wanted to wait with them to experience such a moment.  

 {via google}While I was waiting in line at security, I see a man dressed in camouflage round the corner and take off running towards the waiting family.  The family members, one in particular (his wife) begins screaming and crying and another family member is recording the whole thing.
When he makes it his wife, she literally launches into his arms.I mean talk about an emotional breakdown...I couldn't turn the tears off.It was the most moving thing I had seen in a long time.

I get chills just thinking about it.
