Sunday Funday

I know I was MIA last week...my blogpress app on my phone hasn't been working and we all know that without that, I can hardly find them motivation to blog.

I have had a wonderful weekend. Friday afternoon I packed up and headed to Tuscaloosa to visit my long lost friend, Melissa. We had so much fun hanging out just like old times (AKA college).
I love this girl!
Saturday, we got an early start for the Bama game.
Unfortunately, I was feeling a little sick and the heat was killing me so I had to leave the game shortly after kickoff. I was totally bummed, but was so excited to hit the road for PCB. My family vacation is this week, but we are all stuck inside due to the tropical storm.
On top of that, I am sick! I have a really bad cold, but I am making the most of it.

I am super excited about this trip. It's a big group....
My mom and step dad
My sister, Jenn, her husband, Mike, and their 2 girls (Blakely & Londyn Kate)
My sister, Kim, her husband, and their baby boy (Colin)
My brother Justin
My friend, Heather, and her husband
My friend Mandy
My cousin, Edward, and his wife Thu
and 3 of their cousins.

What a group, huh?

Anyways, the bad weather is supposed to pass by tomorrow night so I am looking forward to lots of pool, beach, and sun time starting early Tuesday morning.

Happy Sunday lovies!!
I will update again soon.

I had the best weekend ever!!!

Saturday- I had a productive morning and then I took the dogs to the beach until James got off work. Then a few of us went out on the boat. We met a sweet couple from Alabama so we took them out on a sunset cruise for some tubing. To say that I am sore today would be an understatement.
Sunday- A bunch of us rented a van and took a road trip in Eleuthera. We made lots of stops along the way, but finally reached our destination at the light house. We played at the beach for a while and then headed back. We stopped at Sky Beach for dinner...a gorgeous place with a pool bar and a hot tub. So relaxing!!

My sweet Colin and sister were released from the hospital on Saturday. He is such a blessing!!
They are happy to be home and I can't wait to get there to meet him.

{THREE}
I'm so excited for the bachelorette tonight!! A glass of wine and the couch is calling my name.

{FOUR}
I only have 5 more days left in Harbour Island. I'm so sad to leave my friends here, but I'm also really happy to be going home. I'm recouping today from a long weekend, but starting tomorrow I'll be in full enjoy-every-minute mode. I want to soak up everything I can before I leave on Saturday.

Sunday Funday was a success, as usual. We got an early start at 9 and planned to grill on the beach. We made some stops for some snorkeling and spear fishing and then headed to the beach. The guys caught grouper and conch so we had quite the feast. It was such a beautiful day!! We ended the night with a fabulous dinner at Acquapazza, watching the sunset.

{TWO}
I finished Room by Emma Donoghue. Such a good book. I want to bring Jackerjack, the precious 5 year old narrater, to live with me!!

So anyways now I need book recommendations...Thanks guys!

{THREE}
I played dominos for the first time this weekend...so much fun.

I just found out that my Uncle Jim has leukemia...he started chemotherapy, but isn't handling it well so please pray for him.

Sunday Funday

I'm still praying hard for those affected by the tornadoes. They are still finding survivors in the rubble in Tuscaloosa. I would give anything to be able to help all of those volunteering. Tuscaloosa is and will always be a second home to me and it's so nice to see everyone coming together after this tragedy. Please keep praying for all of those who have suffered loss and the hundreds who are still missing.

I am so incredibly thankful for the experiences that I have been given. Yesterday, I went snorkeling for the first time ever.
It was beyond amazing! I saw some amazing fishies (yes, I know that isn't politically correct) and a big turtle that I literally could have reached out and touched. I also spent the afternoon playing on a rope swing with the boys.

I had to post this picture bc the whole time I was thinking about Alley and Noah on The Notebook. I loved that part of the movie.

Last night, I partied it up with a bunch of tween boys. Haha. They had a friend sleepover and we had the dance off of all dance offs. It was hilarious!!! I have videos, but they would totally kill me if I posted them. Here are some pics of them being DJ's and they were pretty good. I would hire them!

They were watching the lizards kiss.
I can now say that I know what goes on during a boys' sleepover. =)

Today, I am enjoying the day off. Not that everyday isn't pure bliss, but today is quiet bliss!!! I'm sun bathing at Ramora Bay. This is my view!!!
I have the beach, pool, bar, my book, and lots of sunscreen. I will probably still be here at sunset. Happy Sunday friends!!!

Sunday Fun Day

1. The most expensive thing hanging in my closet is.....?

I don't usually buy really expensive items. I am sure the most expensive item that I have is probably something I bought for cheap @ a consignment store but was originally really expensive. I don't like spending more than 20-30 dollars on a single piece of clothing. Shoes are a little different, but again I am not one to go drop $100 on a pair of shoes. I will look on Ebay first if there is something I really want.

2. Have you ever played a team sport?

I played on 2 different flag football teams while I was in Tuscaloosa...a coed team and an all girls team. Not to burst my own bubble, but both teams were pretty good. I also played on an indoor soccer team. I loved playing flag football!!

3. If you were a bug, what kind would you be?

I would definitely be a butterfly. I love the butterfly exhibit at the Birmingham Zoo.

4. Where on your body is the worst place to get sunburned?

My nose and my shoulders.

5. Are you happy?

My life is definitely not perfect...I am working on that, but I am very happy.

Great family and wonderful friends! I would be happier if I could find a job.

6. People are always abbreviating..are there any abbreviations that make your skin crawl when people use them?

I abbreviate a lot of things myself, but I am not a fan of verbally saying OMG although I use it in texts.

7. Do you love where you live..or could you live anywhere?

I love Alabama, but wouldn't be opposed to living somewhere else for a short period of time. My family is here so this is where I want to end up.

8. What, if any, extreme measures do you go to to keep yourself from overeating when you're full?

I could use some help in this area...I am a fast eater so I usually don't realize how full I am until 1o minutes after I finish eating. I will sometimes try to drink a glass of water before I eat.

I love the brand OP @ Wal Mart.

Here are a few purchases I made today...both OP
I bought a few other items, but didn't get pictures.

I am obsessed with Rompers.

Last night, I went to a wedding @ Matthew's Manor in Springville... it was absolutely gorgeous!

Me and Heather before the wedding.

I love driving around and seeing big houses in the Birmingham area. This first one is my absolutely favorite...I am going to live there one day. Even if it is just for one day. haha

This is the view from my favorite area to drive around. Isn't it gorgeous...overlooking downtown Birmingham.

This is another gorgeous house that I saw while driving around, but it's not really my style.

I just finished watching Miss USA...I will definitely blog about that tomorrow. Stay tuned.
