Sunday Funday

I know I was MIA last week...my blogpress app on my phone hasn't been working and we all know that without that, I can hardly find them motivation to blog.

I have had a wonderful weekend. Friday afternoon I packed up and headed to Tuscaloosa to visit my long lost friend, Melissa. We had so much fun hanging out just like old times (AKA college).
I love this girl!
Saturday, we got an early start for the Bama game.
Unfortunately, I was feeling a little sick and the heat was killing me so I had to leave the game shortly after kickoff. I was totally bummed, but was so excited to hit the road for PCB. My family vacation is this week, but we are all stuck inside due to the tropical storm.
On top of that, I am sick! I have a really bad cold, but I am making the most of it.

I am super excited about this trip. It's a big group....
My mom and step dad
My sister, Jenn, her husband, Mike, and their 2 girls (Blakely & Londyn Kate)
My sister, Kim, her husband, and their baby boy (Colin)
My brother Justin
My friend, Heather, and her husband
My friend Mandy
My cousin, Edward, and his wife Thu
and 3 of their cousins.

What a group, huh?

Anyways, the bad weather is supposed to pass by tomorrow night so I am looking forward to lots of pool, beach, and sun time starting early Tuesday morning.

Happy Sunday lovies!!
I will update again soon.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving SOOOO many things today. I have so much to be grateful for...

{Baking, baking, and more baking}
I'm loving being a little Betty Crocker. I made these yummies last night.
And yes, there is a step for licking the bowl.
That would be step 5.
I might have eaten a lot of cake batter....oops!
I actually had so much batter that I didn't even want one of the finished cupcakes. :)

{Boys will be boys}
I'm loving spending time with these 2 cuties.
My old sunglasses provided a great photo opp....I took advantage!

{COLIN}
I'm loving cuddles with sweet baby C!
I love these pics I took of him last night, especially the fluffy hair pic on the right.
It was taken right after his bath.

{Bachelor Pad dos}
I'm so excited for the new season of BP.
Although it can be very dramatic and somewhat annoying at times, I love it!
I have a few favorites on the show and a few that I cannot really stand.
I started the 3 hour!! episode last night, but haven't finished it yet.
I think watching it in small increments works best for me. Haha.
I'm slightly ADD and it becomes so repetitive with the whole this is what has happened, this is what's happening, and this is what is going to happen. Seriously? Just let me watch the show!

{Ocoee Zip}
I'm loving that this weekend I'm going zip lining!!
I've never been before and I will probably be like a kid on Christmas Even come Friday night.
Saturday, I will roadtrip to Tennessee with a friend of mine for this fun little adventure.

I'm really really loving that Saturday night, I'm going to dinner with some friends.
Japanese is my all-time favorite and I haven't had it in about 2 months!!

{Nanny}
I'm loving that I have a trial run with a new family this Friday.
It's a family with 4 kids, but 3 are in school so I will mostly just have one child.
I hope it works out well and that I will get offered the job.

Happy hump day lovies!!

{BACHELORETTE}
I'm so excited for the season finale tonight. I missed the men tell all episode last night, but my sis DVR'ed it for me so I have lots to watch tonight. I'll be so ready to relex when I get there!!

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters
{ONE}
I had the best weekend ever!!!

Saturday- I had a productive morning and then I took the dogs to the beach until James got off work. Then a few of us went out on the boat. We met a sweet couple from Alabama so we took them out on a sunset cruise for some tubing. To say that I am sore today would be an understatement.
Sunday- A bunch of us rented a van and took a road trip in Eleuthera. We made lots of stops along the way, but finally reached our destination at the light house. We played at the beach for a while and then headed back. We stopped at Sky Beach for dinner...a gorgeous place with a pool bar and a hot tub. So relaxing!!
{TWO}
My sweet Colin and sister were released from the hospital on Saturday. He is such a blessing!!
They are happy to be home and I can't wait to get there to meet him.

{THREE}
I'm so excited for the bachelorette tonight!! A glass of wine and the couch is calling my name.

{FOUR}
I only have 5 more days left in Harbour Island. I'm so sad to leave my friends here, but I'm also really happy to be going home. I'm recouping today from a long weekend, but starting tomorrow I'll be in full enjoy-every-minute mode. I want to soak up everything I can before I leave on Saturday.

Happy mingle Monday

30 Day Blog Journal-Day 11

Day 11 is a photo taken of me recently.

This past weekend I took a road trip to CiNcInNaTi, oHiO.

During my family beach trip, which I have yet to blog about, I met an amazing family. Our families bonded immediately and it was like we had known each other for years. They invited my brother and I up for an extended vacation and we happily accepted. We drove up last Thursday morning and stayed until Monday. We had an awesome time. Friday night, I got to go to the Rascal Flatts concert...
Me and Kevin sporting the cowboy hats
All 4 of us~ Kevin, me, Amanda, and Justin
Me and my brother

I will try to blog more about my family beach trip to PCB and my trip to Cincinnati soon.

Stay tuned...

Staying busy

Alli, Ryan, & Indira have been keeping me pretty busy.
Here is what my typical day is like:
  • Wake up @ 7 and leave (usually still in my pjs) to go pick up Alli and Ryan
  • Come back to Kim's and let them watch Dora/Spongebob or play with LK (Kim is keeping LK this summer) while I get dressed and eat breakfast.
  • Feed the kid's a snack
  • Leave for the daily activities (usually involves parks, picnics, movies, library, etc.)
  • Usually go by Sonic during happy hour for some slushes
  • Head to take them home around 2:30 or 3
  • Once I have dropped Alli and Ryan off @ home, I head downtown to babysit Indira. I get there between 3:30 and 4.
  • Indira is usually waking up from her nap when I get there.
  • We have a snack and go for a walk around Highland.
  • If it is too hot, we play in her playroom with weebles and lots and lots of books!!
  • Around 5:30, Indira gets a bath and gets dinner around 6.
  • After dinner, we read books, listen to kid's music, rock on the front porch, or color until 7 o'clock rolls around and it is time for me to make the 30-40 min drive back to Helena (depending on traffic).
  • Usually I get home, eat dinner, shower, and get in bed. haha...I am exhausted after a long day of entertaining kids.
Here are some pics from last week's adventures

Aldridge Botanical Gardens
Pool Day with my nieces and nephews
Oak Mountain State Park

This past weekend was kind of busy!!

Friday I babysat late, until around 8:00, and then headed back to Helena for girl's night with Heather. I picked her up and we ate San Antonio's. We stopped by my house to pick me up some stuff to spend the night with her and then we headed to her house. We watched reruns of the Bachelorette and had lots of fun just hanging out.

**She has a sleep number bed and it is AMAZING!!

Saturday we slept in a little and decided to go to the pool for a couple of hours before we had to road trip it to Weogufka for Wes and Loren's wedding. It was super hot outside and we got lots of sun.

Woegufka is a very small town near Sylacauga. We made the nearly 2 hour drive and was seconds from being late. It was a nice, small wedding and then we headed back to Birmingham. We all hung out Saturday night and I really enjoyed getting to spend so much time with Heather!! (She was my roommate in college)
Sunday was a nice, relaxing day. I slept in late and stayed in comfy clothes all day!!

Until next time, have a great week! Happy Monday!

Me with Alli and Ryan's baby brother, Charles. He stays home with his mommy, but I did get to stay with him for a couple of hours on Friday. He is soo tiny and so sweet!!!

Top 2 Tuesday

Today was busy, but lots of fun.

I woke up and got a phone call from my best friend. She informed me that her sister-in-law was having her baby today and asked if I wanted to "road trip" it with her to meet him. I didn't really have anything planned until work at 4 so I decided to ride with her to Huntsville. We had fun catching up and chatting during our almost 2 hour drive from Birmingham. I won't mention that we kind of circled around Birmingham for 20 minutes trying to find I-65 South. (Whole other story). She picked me up around 10:30 and were on our way. Unfortunately, he made a rather quick entrance into the world and we missed his birth, but got to see him nonetheless. He weighed 8 lbs. 14 oz. and was 20 inches long....

Introducing Cooper Montgomery

We visited for a little while and then headed back for Birmingham.

We stopped here for some amazing vegetables...mmm!!

I forgot to mention that I now have a sore throat because I read Breaking Dawn half of the way there and the entire way back home! We both really got into Twilight last summer when we were on a beach trip together and she never got around to reading the fourth book (Breaking Dawn). I just so happened to have it on my new kindle so we decided to pick up where she left off. Fun times!

We made it back to Birmingham just in time for me to babysit this little one...

I just love her...she took lots of steps today. I am pretty sure she will be walking soon.

I recently came upon a new blog The Undomestic Momma and decided to participate in her Top Two Tuesday.

Today's theme is two things I want to do before I die.

1. I want to travel!!!!
I plan on traveling here this summer to visit my bff who is getting ready to move there now from Indiana. I can't wait.
Some other places I want to travel:
Australia
Greece
Hawaii
Ireland
New York

2. I want to adopt one day.

Happy Tuesday!!
