{Bird Feeder}

I'm slightly obsessed with all things "birds" right now....hence the bird feeders.

I haven't hung the little teacup one yet.

 All but the colorful dress and the skirt came from consignment...I love a bargain.

{Jason Mraz concert}

Saturday night, a couple of friends and I drove up to Atlanta for Jason Mraz/Christina Perri concert.

It was fabulous!!!

{Hair Chalk}

While I was school shopping, they were doing free hair chalking.  I'd tried this with just regular sidewalk chalk, but you have to use pastels.  I love this!

{Grilling}

Last weekend, a few friends grilled out and played mini frisbee golf....so much fun!!

{First day of school}

5 days down and still tons to do, but ready or not....kids start today!!!!

{Barons Game}

Thirsty Thursday?  We think yes!

{Zoo}

Friday was $5 zoo day!  It was a little crowded, but the most fabulous weather that we could ask for.

It was mostly overcast with a breeze....and $1 hot dogs.

Can't beat that!

We also got to watch them feed the elephants...probably one of the coolest things that I've ever seen.

{Movies}

I watched these movies this weekend.  LOVED them both!

{Pool time}

I layed out for a couple hours on Saturday and Sunday.  I've lost most of my tan from the beach so I'm trying to get a little bit back before school starts.  It was beautiful this weekend.

{Mani and Pedi}

I bought a groupon a while back.  $20 for a delux pedicure and acrylic nails/manicure.

I opted for the acrylic overlay because I'm not about length for my nails...I just like for the paint to stay on.  :)

Wednesday Loves

It's Wednesday...the week is half way over and it feels like it just started.

Technically, I guess it did just start for me since I was off on Monday.

Wouldn't it be nice if every week was a 4 day week?

{BCS}

I'm absolutely ecstatic that Alabama won the BSC National Championship game Monday night!

I'm loving, even more, that it was a complete shutout.

We had a little get together at my friend, Heather's.

and had such a wonderful time watching this game with our fellow alums.

{Off day}

 I'm loving that my day off was very productive and started with a 2 hour hike, partially in the rain.

We are awesome like that!

{New Year, New You}

I'm loving how motivated I am lately...

I bought 3 groupons lately...

Livemocha

12 month online access to learn up to 32 different languages.

I'm thinking I will do good to learn Spanish, but the more the merrier. (Is that a word?)

I also bought this pedometer for $10.

I want to be able to count my steps and see how many calories I burn in a day. 

I also bought a groupon for $20 worth of organic groceries for $10.

I have been obsessing over eating organically lately.

By the way, I'm also loving MyFitnessPal and my new scale!

I have eaten so well the past couple of days and I'm pretty sure that I am building the foundation for the rest of my life...

I know that sounds corny, but I am so dedicated this time 

(unlike the millions of other times that I whine about being out of shape and eat healthy for about one day)

{Hair}

I got my hair did on Friday.

I wanted something dramatic so I got lots of red.

We were more subtle at first, but it wasn't dramatic enough for me so we tried again.

It now has like 4 different colors of red in it, but I love it.

It looks different in different lights, but I love the change.

{Pedi}

I got a pedi this weekend...one of my favorite things to do ever!!!

I love the new muppet collection by OPI.  I purchased two of them this weekend.

The one on the left is called Rainbow Connection.

I also bought Warm on Fozzie on the right.

Oh my amazing....it's gorgeous!

I had the Rainbow Connection on this weekend over My Private Jet by OPI and it was fabulous.

So hard to get off because of all of the glitter, but so pretty on.

{Girl's Night}

I had lots of girl's nights this weekend!

Thursday night, Heather and I ate Mexican and then watched the entire season of New Girl.  We also painted our nails and drank some wine.

Perfect night!!

Saturday night, a bunch of us girls went to eat Mexican again and hung out.  

I seriously only got one pic.  Crazy I know.  I really have to get a new camera.

Of course its from the ole Iphone so its not great quality.

 Saturday night, I invited my niece LK to spend some quality time with me.

We had so much fun hanging out, eating pizza, watching movies, and cuddling.

She LOVES Coral and as you can see here, that love is reciprocated.

 We played lots of file folder games that I made during my internship.

She LOVED them.

{Cleaning}

I also spent a lot of time cleaning and organizing this weekend.

I did lots of laundry and tried to pack up some summer stuff and organize my closet.

I have been feeling a little cluttered lately so it feels good to have my stuff in order.

Miscellany Monday

{Vacation}I am loving being at the beach...even though the weather has been really bad. The wind today got up to 25 MPH. It shattered the table on one of our balcony's. INSANE! We sucked it up and attempted the beach this morning. It was nice, windy, but still pretty and kind of sunny until around 1:30. When it started raining, I ran to the pool to get our bags and the wind completely knocked me over. It scared me to death...I felt like the wind was just gonna pick me right up. I have a huge strawberry and bruise on my bottom. On a positive note, starting tomorrow we are supposed to have great weather.
I am so ready to lay out and read my book from sun up to sun down...
{Cooking}Each couple/sibling does dinner 1 night of the week that way every night is covered and we don't have to individually plan/cook dinner every night. Tonight is my night and I am doing taco salad. It's so easy and so yummy.
{Friends}I am loving having my best friend, Heather, her husband, and our friend, Mandy, on my family vacation this year. My family can get a bit crazy at times....the Kardashians don't have anything on us so I am glad that my friends can handle this loud bunch.
{Sickness}I am still sick, but coping. I feel like I have gotten good rest the past 2 nights so I am getting better. I feel much better today than I did yesterday.
{Bachelor Pad}So ready for tonight's episode. Yes, I am still watching it even though I am on vacation. It's too nasty to do anything outside anyways.
