Dear "my day"

 Write random and link up.
{Breaking Dawn}
Girl's night was a succes!
Breaking Dawn was amazing, as expected.
I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.

I also bought the sound track yesterday.  Yes, I have been listening to it on repeat.

I think this might be my favorite song, but it might have a little to do with this video that I found on YouTube.
My mom was a little late jumping on the bandwagon so she just finished reading all of the books and watched the first movie.
I am taking the first 3 DVD's home with me for Thanksgiving so mom and I can have a catch up session.
Hopefully we can find the time to go to see Breaking Dawn.
I've been trying to figure out a way to go see it again.  #ACCOMPLISHED

{Books}
I finally had time to read and finish this book this weekend.
I literally read all day Saturday.
I loved it, but I cried like a baby.
Coral kept giving me these concerned looks...it was so sweet.

A few of my friends have read the Stephanie Plum series and highly recommended it.
I was able to download the first 9 from my friend's Kindle.
 There are 17 available now and the 18th gets released on Tuesday.

Oh my, can we say I will have my hands full over Thanksgiving and Christmas break.

{Christmas Decor}
I started putting up Christmas stuff this weekend.
I bought a pewter tree from Target and did some whimsical type ornaments.
The pictures really don't do it justice.
I also want to get some more decorations for it, but for now this is what I've got.

{Boots}
I finally got me some new boots.  My favorite pair of camel boots got chewed a bit by precious little Coral.
Yes, I was mad at her, but I really needed a new pair anyways.
I love them and I will probably wear them everyday of my life...until Coral gets a hold of them.

{New York}
While getting out Christmas stuff today, we came across all of my sister's Christmas cards from the past years.  We saw the idea of making a book out of them for the coffee table.
We were organizing them, and I found my Christmas card from last year.

I had just moved to NEW YORK.
I got to thinking about how much I miss NY.
I love being back in Alabama with my family, but miss having my own place.
I miss all of my friends in NY and I miss the life I had for myself while I was there.
Anyways, I am so thankful for the experience that I had, but I am happy to be back home close to my friends and family.
I will plan a visit, freeze my butt off, and then be so thankful to not live there anymore.
{Happy Mingling}

I know I've shared this before, but it makes me happy so here it is again.
Happy Monday.

Love

Things I'm loving today...

*Making it safely back to New York...Coral was such a good little traveler. Slept the whole time and didn't have any accidents in her carrier
*Having Coral to keep me company in this lonely cottage for the night...she is going to sleep like a princess in my king sized bed
*Being completely moved out of the cottage
*Being all packed up and actually fitting ALL of my stuff in my car...never thought it would happen
*Realizing that I left my car, 3 months ago, with a full tank of gas...that's not like me at all, but that is one less thing that I have to do tomorrow
*Eating Subway...so delicious
*Having a huge fountain coke
*Coral's new toy elephant....Have I mentioned that I love all things elephant {It's the Bama girl in me}
*I'm picking up my bff Heather tomorrow for our road trip to Bama
*I'll get to see my family in less than 48 hours
*Driving a car instead of a golf cart...felt wierd at first, not to mention, for a brief second I forgot which side of the road to drive on
*My trip to Target for doggy treats...oh how I've missed Target

I hope everyone has had a lovely Saturday...mine has been LONNNNG and busy, but the payoff is moving back home for good!
So ready to be there.

Happy rest of the weekend.

BFF's in NYC

So I mentioned that my best friend, Heather, is coming to visit me this coming up weekend. I am so incredibly excited, but I need some ideas of things to show her in NYC. I have only been a few times and seen the major touristy things. i.e. Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, Madison Square, and 5th Avenue. So if any of you readers have been to the city and would like to give some suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. I have done tons of research, real-life advice would be so much better.

I would love to do some museums, but there are so many to choose from.
I am also planning on taking her on the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. I haven't done this yet so I am super excited.

I also have the greatest surprise ever for her when she arrives, so I can't announce it on the blog just yet. You will just have to wait and see.

We are going to take NYC, Sex and the City style.

Thanks in advance.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters
1. Bear is home sick so he is hanging with me and Posey today.

I am so excited because while Posey takes her nap, Bear and I are going to watch Harry Potter. We started it last week, but didn't finish it. We are starting with 1 and I might be obsessed!

2. I joined Netflix this weekend. It's only my hundredth time...I always go back.

I am such a movie buff and I love being able to watch them instantly for only $7.99 a month. That's 2 movie rentals on ITunes.
3. I made grits for breakfast.

Makes me feel at home. =)
4. I have had my new MacBook for a week and I love it. I skyped with one of my favorite girls, Shelby, last week and yesterday with my sister, Jenn, her husband, and their 2 girls. I loved seeing the kids and talking to them for a bit.

5. I started a new book last night.

I didn't get very far, but what I've read, I like!!
6. I'm thinking about running in this 5k next weekend.

It would just be for fun, but it might be too cold. Suggestions?

7. Happy Mingling!!

Pure Bliss

Last night, I got to join the family for dinner at The Melting Pot. It was my first time eating fondue. It was a really fun place.
Once I got off work, I cleaned up a bit around my cottage. I was trying to get rid of my sick germs from earlier this week.
No, I didn't clean in my high heels, but I used to in college and I think i might start again.

After cleaning, I relaxed in bed with a glass of this...
And watched this...
I loved it. I love Anne and Jake...they were perfect for this movie.

Today, I finally went to see this...
It was sooo good!! Not to mention I was in the theater with only one other lady, so we basically got our own private showing.

After the movie, I did a little retail therapy. I wanted to get some white jeans for Spring and I just got a coupon from Express in my email. Lucky me!!! So I officially possess these...

Now I am sitting in the pedicure chair at my new favorite salon...Grace Nails and Spa. I was sick of looking at my St. Patty's Day green nails so today, I went for a coral.
I'm having a girls night tonight that I had to primp myself for. So excited!!

Happy weekend!

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

1. I had a fabulous week with my family and friends in Alabama. Not to mention the amazing 70 degree weather.

2. I'm heading back to New York today. More snow is on the forecast. Yuck!

3. I planned to have lunch with my older brother and sister, my mom, and my nieces today before heading to the airport, but unfortunately woke up sick.

My mom and I still got to enjoy lunch and some alone time together, but I was sad not to get to see the others before I left.

4. I got a new laptop. I bought a used macbook from a friend and I am so excited. My old one is seriously falling apart.
5. I am starting this book on the plane today.
I have heard great reviews!!

6. Its kind of sad that The Bachelor is over. Now i just have to wait for Bachelor Pad to start.
7. I have almost 1 month exactly until I move to the Bahamas for 3 months. I am kicking into high gear to get into shape. I am determined to lose about 10 pounds. That's doable, right?

Happy Monday!!

Miscellany Monday and Buba

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

1. This is what I woke up to this morning...
To say that I'm sick of snow, would be the understatement of the year. I love the snow, but I like it in small portions. The ground has been covered in snow since I moved here in December. I'm over it...

2. But I'm getting on a plane tomorrow and flying here
West Palm Beach!

3. We are staying in Jupiter and this is the forecast for the week...
I am so excited for shorts,
Bathing suits,
And flip flops!!!!

4. I am excited to lay in the sun and finish this book!!
I have only read the first five chapters so far, but I love it!!

5. My DVR is calling my name...I'm so excited for tonight's episodes of 90210 and The Bachelor!!! Ahh, can't wait!

6. I recently watched Sex and the City

1 and 2 and I'm obsessed!!

7. I'm also obsessed with my new sandals that I picked up at Target today for $11!
FYI I'm still loving my green toes!!

Moving on to day 5 of the 30 day photo journal.

A picture of my favorite memory.
Meet Buba, my grandmother. She was my everything and this picture has lived on my nightstand since she passed away. I have the greatest memories that involved my buba and I am so thankful for the relationship we had. I love you and miss you with all my heart. I can't wait until the day that we meet again!

Happy Monday friends!
