Miscellany Monday



I celebrated St. Patty's Day in style with my Chicago tee.  :)



LK and I had a date day/night. 
She had lots of fun trying on hats in Barnes and Noble. 
This girl has plenty of personality to share.



After eating lunch and shopping, we stopped by the dam for some fun in the sun.

Next up, day date with Halle.
First up...facials.





Then some play time with Coral, manis, and a movie.





We ended the afternoon with some trampoline fun at Airwalk and Five Guys...thanks to the best boyfriend ever.

We had some fun while mommy took baby brother to the doctor.
We watched Cinderella and Tangled, and still had some time to take a walk, play in the backyard, and go flower picking.



Best boyfriend award goes to Justin....he treated me to a facial, massage, and a foot scrub for Spring Break.
As if 9 days off wasn't enough.  :)

Miscellany Monday

Hello lovelies!!  It's "Mon" day.  This weekend flew by and I am so incredibly behind with blogging.  I guess I was kind of in a rut for a few days.  Sorry I've been MIA, but I'm back, I think.

{Mini me}

Saturday night, I went to my brother and S-I-L's house for dinner and to visit.  They have 3 kiddos...Halle, Carter, and Cooper.  As soon as I walked in, Cooper (3) screams "Awesome"...guess he was excited to see me.  Carter sees me every day considering he is in kindergarten and I teach on the kindergarten hall.  Seeing me is old news for him, but Halle was as excited as Cooper to see me.

We had a mini girl's night until I had to leave for my night out...I painted her nails, taught her the 2 step zumba dance, and gave her a makeover.  I love this girl!

She wanted her nails to look like mine...I tried the whole accent nail thing.Love it!{Storm Shelter}So Friday night, we were supposed to get some really bad weather.  Since I'm house/dog sitting, I was obviously home alone with my dog and my sister's dog.  My older sister and her husband and kids live 10 minutes away and have a basement/living room area that is almost completely underground so she conviced me to load up the dogs and come spend the night with them since the weather was supposed to last well into the middle of the night.  Fortunately, the tornadoes missed us and we had a family fun night playing lots of games and spending time together.  My little brother also lives with them so we had a house full. Any excuse to play games all night is ok with me.  We played BS (which we renamed noodles for the kids sake---not having to explain what bs stands for), Spoons, and Clue.  We had so much fun.I also watched Lion King, not once, but twice with my nieces (LK-3 and Blakely-1).  Lion King is one of my all time faves and I love that my nieces are watching old school Disney movies!While I'm on the topic, my sister Jennifer (Lk and Blakely's mom) is 12 weeks pregnant and is having some health concerns.  Her doctors are considering putting her on a heart medicine that could affect the baby. Please keep her and the baby in your prayers.  We really want her to be able to do without the meds, but we don't know what to expect next time she goes for her checkup.  {Movies}I watched these 2 movies this weekend, In Tme for the second time.Both are AMAZING and I highly recommend both.Both will also make you cry so beware. 

{Smell the Roses}

Think about a goal you've been wanting to meet. What's keeping you from going after that goal? Time to conquer it!

My goal for the past few weeks were to go to the gym at least 4 times a week...I was only going like 2 and then doing odd and end things at home.  Well friends, this week I made an effort to get to the gym at least 4 times....and I did it!

Tuesday, I started looking at gyms around that offered a class that I might like to take and found out that Gold's Gym offered a free week trial.  I signed up and worked out for 2 hours Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and 1 hour on Wednesday.  I would've made it on Friday too had it not been for the bad weather coming, but I'm so super stoked that I did 4 days.

{Christmas}

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I had a weekend full of Christmas festivities.

I love family get togethers and this year def didn't disappoint.

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to upload my pictures.

Friday night was Christmas number 1 at my moms and step dads.

Saturday morning was Christmas number 2 at my dad and step moms.

Saturday afternoon was Christmas number 3 at my aunts house and then we all headed to my cousins Christmas eve night.

{Blakely}

My niece, Blakely, who is 11 months old spent her first Christmas at Children's Hospital.

It all started on Christmas Eve while we were at my aunt's house.

Blakely woke up from a nap and started acted really strange. She was very lethargic and unresponsive for about 10 minutes. We were all freaking out so my sister and my mom took her to the fire department to have her checked out.

All of her stats were ok, but they took her by ambulance to the ER because they weren't sure what caused her seizure-like episode.

They ran some tests and discovered that her white blood cell count was elevated. She also has a bacterial infection. They are waiting for lab results to see if the infection has spread to her blood.

Bless her heart, she has had a rough few days!

We spent Christmas day at the hospital visiting my sweet baby.

Please keep her in your prayers. I sure hope she gets to go home today.

Santa has been postponed until she is released from the hospital.

Big sister did get to open 1 present at the hospital.

Fortunately, she isn't old enough to know that Christmas was yesterday.

I was pretty obsessed with the fact that google map tracked Santa on Christmas Eve.

I tracked him from Canada to Arkansas before I fell asleep. So cool!

{New Orleans}

Today, I'm traveling by train to New Orleans. I'm so excited!!!

I haven't even been gone for one day and I already miss my baby!

{Dolphin Tale}

Last night, my mom, my sister, and I watched this movie! So cute!!

{Hair}

I got my hair did on Friday.

I wanted something dramatic so I got lots of red.

We were more subtle at first, but it wasn't dramatic enough for me so we tried again.

It now has like 4 different colors of red in it, but I love it.

It looks different in different lights, but I love the change.

{Pedi}

I got a pedi this weekend...one of my favorite things to do ever!!!

I love the new muppet collection by OPI.  I purchased two of them this weekend.

The one on the left is called Rainbow Connection.

I also bought Warm on Fozzie on the right.

Oh my amazing....it's gorgeous!

I had the Rainbow Connection on this weekend over My Private Jet by OPI and it was fabulous.

So hard to get off because of all of the glitter, but so pretty on.

{Girl's Night}

I had lots of girl's nights this weekend!

Thursday night, Heather and I ate Mexican and then watched the entire season of New Girl.  We also painted our nails and drank some wine.

Perfect night!!

Saturday night, a bunch of us girls went to eat Mexican again and hung out.  

I seriously only got one pic.  Crazy I know.  I really have to get a new camera.

Of course its from the ole Iphone so its not great quality.

 Saturday night, I invited my niece LK to spend some quality time with me.

We had so much fun hanging out, eating pizza, watching movies, and cuddling.

She LOVES Coral and as you can see here, that love is reciprocated.

 We played lots of file folder games that I made during my internship.

She LOVED them.

{Cleaning}

I also spent a lot of time cleaning and organizing this weekend.

I did lots of laundry and tried to pack up some summer stuff and organize my closet.

I have been feeling a little cluttered lately so it feels good to have my stuff in order.
