In case you haven't noticed, I LOVE traveling!

I am constantly thinking of ways to visit new places...

I enjoy seeing the world and experiencing new places.

In the past 8 weeks, I took my first and second trip to NOLA.

To say that I love it, would be a huge understatement!

I'm loving my vacation!!

I'm loving waking up whenever I want.

I'm also loving doing whatever my little heart desires.

I'm loving that today I took Kent to work so that I would have his car.

I feel like such a rockstar in this baby!!! 

 I'm loving that I got an early start this morning.

And I'm loving that I marked some places off of my list that I wanted to see.

{Vacation}

So as you all know, I didn't get to go to the beach this past weekend.

I was so incredibly bummed, but it just didn't work out.

However, I figured out a way to still sneak in a little vacation this weekend.

It only cost me $5 thanks to my free flight that I earned through Southwest.

I am going to NEW ORLEANS.  I am so excited!

I hope to be making a second trip there for the National Championship, which brings me to my next point.

What is meant to be, will be...

I'm back and reality has hit full force.

I loved Mexico, everything about it...the company, the food, the weather, the adventure, the culture...everything!!

I am very very behind on blogging, but I'm hoping to get back on track and do some catching up.

I have had an amazing 3 weeks that I can't wait to share with you guys.

For now, I am updating my 101 in 1001. It's crazy how much stuff I did in the past few weeks.

To top everything off, I got a very exciting email while I was in Mexico...that there was a position open for special ed and they wanted me to come in for an interview. I got home Sunday night at 9 and had an interview Monday morning at 8. And....
I GOT THE JOB!!I am now employed and can't wait to start on Thursday. I am filling in for an indefinite amount of time as a kindergarten resource teacher. I will be working with students in an inclusive setting. I am literally on the verge of exploding with excitement.

Miscellany Monday

{Vacation}I am loving being at the beach...even though the weather has been really bad. The wind today got up to 25 MPH. It shattered the table on one of our balcony's. INSANE! We sucked it up and attempted the beach this morning. It was nice, windy, but still pretty and kind of sunny until around 1:30. When it started raining, I ran to the pool to get our bags and the wind completely knocked me over. It scared me to death...I felt like the wind was just gonna pick me right up. I have a huge strawberry and bruise on my bottom. On a positive note, starting tomorrow we are supposed to have great weather.
I am so ready to lay out and read my book from sun up to sun down...
{Cooking}Each couple/sibling does dinner 1 night of the week that way every night is covered and we don't have to individually plan/cook dinner every night. Tonight is my night and I am doing taco salad. It's so easy and so yummy.
{Friends}I am loving having my best friend, Heather, her husband, and our friend, Mandy, on my family vacation this year. My family can get a bit crazy at times....the Kardashians don't have anything on us so I am glad that my friends can handle this loud bunch.
{Sickness}I am still sick, but coping. I feel like I have gotten good rest the past 2 nights so I am getting better. I feel much better today than I did yesterday.
{Bachelor Pad}So ready for tonight's episode. Yes, I am still watching it even though I am on vacation. It's too nasty to do anything outside anyways.

Sunday Funday

I know I was MIA last week...my blogpress app on my phone hasn't been working and we all know that without that, I can hardly find them motivation to blog.

I have had a wonderful weekend. Friday afternoon I packed up and headed to Tuscaloosa to visit my long lost friend, Melissa. We had so much fun hanging out just like old times (AKA college).

I love this girl!

Saturday, we got an early start for the Bama game.

Unfortunately, I was feeling a little sick and the heat was killing me so I had to leave the game shortly after kickoff. I was totally bummed, but was so excited to hit the road for PCB. My family vacation is this week, but we are all stuck inside due to the tropical storm.

On top of that, I am sick! I have a really bad cold, but I am making the most of it.

I am super excited about this trip. It's a big group....

Miscellany Monday

1. I never want to leave Jupiter Island. We have been incredibly lucky to have had amazing weather during our entire trip.

2. I finished Water for Elephants and I have been completely intrigued with everything about the book ever since. I cannot wait for the movie to come out.

3. I am even more obsessed then ever with Robert Pattinson. His character, Jacob, in the book/movie above is incredible!!

4. I am going to visit the Jupiter Lighthouse this afternoon and I'm so excited! Pictures to come.

5. I accidentally got too much sun this week. I secretly love my new color though.

6. I made a new friend this week. Meet Reese.

She followed me and Posey everywhere. She is so precious!

7. I need some suggestions for new reads. I need a new book to start on the plane tomorrow.

8. I tried to watch the Oscars last night, but lost interest before the best awards were given.

9. I am really slacking on the 30 day photo challenge. I left off on day 7, I believe. My most treasured item. This is a tough one, but I think I would have to say my laptop. Only because it has hundreds and hundreds of pictures from the last 4 years. I take lots and lots of pictures so I don't know what I would do if something happened to them.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture with me so no pic today.
