Miscellany Monday

Write random and link up.
This weekend I did 4 things...none of which was go to the beach.
More on that later.
{Princess Party}
Addison turned 3 this weekend.
She wasn't feeling so good, but she made such a pretty princess!

I only got one pic of us and she was blinking, but she is too stinkin' cute!

{Christmas Decor/Crafts}
My sister and I had a weekend full of crafting.
Christmas tree for the front door.

I bought these cute little case fillers and put them on my desk in my bedroom.

I spray painted some pine cones red and green for this vase on the mantel above the fireplace.
I love how they turned out, but it is really hard to see in the picture.

I LOVE THIS.
We painted wooden letters, made these ornaments, and hung them from the ceiling between the kitchen and the living room.
FYI.  Great idea if you want to make ornaments with glitter.
Buy the clear ornmanents.
Pour Pledge Wood Floor Finish (nothing else works that I know of)  into the ornament and swirl it over the entire inside.
Pour out excess.
Pour glitter in (whatever color you desire).
Cover hole and shake it all around.
Pour out excess
The finished product is a very glittery ornament that won't lose the glitter over time.
(Because the glitter is inside)

Candy Cane wreath...still in the works.

We spent the majority of the day yesterday making these...

Our tree skirts.  I love them!!

And last, but def not least, we now have lights outside.  Thanks to my brother-in-law.

{Coral}
I dropped Coral off at the vet on Friday to be spayed.  They had to keep her overnight.
I almost cried when I dropped her off.
I was soooo excited to pick her up on Saturday.
Riding in the car...
The vet said to try to keep her calm, but that def hasn't happened.
She hasn't slowed down at all.

{Christmas Cards}
I went to the dam in my town to get family portraits made.  By family portraits, I mean pics of me and Coral for my Christmas card.  I designed my card last night and hopefully will order them once I get the rest of my addresses entered.  I like to do it the lazy way and have them sent straight to their recepient.

I saw this great idea of sending Christmas cards to blog friends.  If any of you would like to receive my Christmas card, leave your info in a comment or email it to me.
I would love to send you one.

Moving on to link up #2 with Neely and Amber!

Today's topic is Christmas treat/dessert.
Peanut butter cake is my favorite dessert ever.
But because I am typing this post at 11 PM, I am not going to post the recipe.
If you are interested, email me and I will give it to you.
Also, I love Rice Krispy Treats anytime!!
Happy Monday lovelies!

Football season has finally arrived and I cannot be more ecstatic!!

Saturday we played San Jose State and we won 48-3.

A fantastic way to start the season.

I can't wait until Friday to head back for the Penn State game.

Staying busy

Alli, Ryan, & Indira have been keeping me pretty busy.
Here is what my typical day is like:
  • Wake up @ 7 and leave (usually still in my pjs) to go pick up Alli and Ryan
  • Come back to Kim's and let them watch Dora/Spongebob or play with LK (Kim is keeping LK this summer) while I get dressed and eat breakfast.
  • Feed the kid's a snack
  • Leave for the daily activities (usually involves parks, picnics, movies, library, etc.)
  • Usually go by Sonic during happy hour for some slushes
  • Head to take them home around 2:30 or 3
  • Once I have dropped Alli and Ryan off @ home, I head downtown to babysit Indira. I get there between 3:30 and 4.
  • Indira is usually waking up from her nap when I get there.
  • We have a snack and go for a walk around Highland.
  • If it is too hot, we play in her playroom with weebles and lots and lots of books!!
  • Around 5:30, Indira gets a bath and gets dinner around 6.
  • After dinner, we read books, listen to kid's music, rock on the front porch, or color until 7 o'clock rolls around and it is time for me to make the 30-40 min drive back to Helena (depending on traffic).
  • Usually I get home, eat dinner, shower, and get in bed. haha...I am exhausted after a long day of entertaining kids.
Here are some pics from last week's adventures

Pool Day with my nieces and nephews
Oak Mountain State Park

This past weekend was kind of busy!!

Friday I babysat late, until around 8:00, and then headed back to Helena for girl's night with Heather. I picked her up and we ate San Antonio's. We stopped by my house to pick me up some stuff to spend the night with her and then we headed to her house. We watched reruns of the Bachelorette and had lots of fun just hanging out.

**She has a sleep number bed and it is AMAZING!!

Saturday we slept in a little and decided to go to the pool for a couple of hours before we had to road trip it to Weogufka for Wes and Loren's wedding. It was super hot outside and we got lots of sun.

Woegufka is a very small town near Sylacauga. We made the nearly 2 hour drive and was seconds from being late. It was a nice, small wedding and then we headed back to Birmingham. We all hung out Saturday night and I really enjoyed getting to spend so much time with Heather!! (She was my roommate in college)
Sunday was a nice, relaxing day. I slept in late and stayed in comfy clothes all day!!

Until next time, have a great week! Happy Monday!

Me with Alli and Ryan's baby brother, Charles. He stays home with his mommy, but I did get to stay with him for a couple of hours on Friday. He is soo tiny and so sweet!!!

National Champions...ROLL TIDE!

We had a get together at Eric & Heather's house for the National Championship game. We made chicken casserole and green bean casserole (we southerners love casseroles) and had a fire going. It was soo cold outside and we were hoping for snow so that all the "real jobbers" wouldn't have to work Friday! They weren't that lucky, but a couple (Kim and Candace) were lucky enough to get a couple of hours of extra sleep since schools were delayed until 10 AM. Too bad for those who aren't teachers (like Eli). He had to get up at regular time. Fortunately for me, I didn't have anything to do Friday so I got to relax and enjoy being the national champions.

We were all decked out in our eye black!
I wish I had gotten pictures of everyone, but our crew included Kim and Eli (my sis and BIL), Heather and Eric (one of my besties and her fiance), Sara and Ethan (one of Stephen's buddies and his wife), Candace and Addison (a really good friend of Kim and Eli's and her daughter--her hubby was in Pasadena), Bronson (another one of Stephen's buddies), and me and Stephen.
We had a lot of fun watching the game and celebrating our win over Texas!

Me and my love!
Baby Addison, Kim, Heather, Candace, and me
Seconds after we won...Kim and Eli!
All the excitement really wore Addison out...she was snoozin' and cuddlin' to Aunt Kimi!
ROLL TIDE...I am so happy to be a soon-to-be-graduate of the University of Alabama!
