Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Life's Journey with a Smile

1. What are your goals for the Spring Fever Challenge?
Goal 1- Save money. I recently went a little crazy spending so I want to create a budget and be more aware of where I am spending my money. I've used mint.com before and I highly recommend it.

Goal 2- Get into shape. This goal kind of goes along with my 101. This month starts my month-long tasks of taking a vitamin daily, eating 1 piece of fruit everyday, and drinking 1 liter of water a day.

Goal 3- Lose 5 to 10 pounds. I don't know how, but it needs to happen.

Goal 4- Complete the coach to 5k program.

Goal 5- Get more sleep! Try to be in bed by 10 every night during the week. Sleep plays a very important role in your overall health and this is definitely something I'm missing.

2. Why did you choose them?
I'm getting to the age where every decision I make, affects my health. I love fast food and I love soda....they are my enemies. If I could shake these 2 habits, there is no doubt in my mind that I would be in great shape. I'm determined to beat the battle against Mcdonalds and coke starting now!!

3. What is your plan of action to make them happen?
I hope to replace these habits with healthier ones.

4. What does this challenge mean to you?
I am hoping to be held more accountable for my decisions. Growing up, I could always eat whatever I wanted and drink coke all day long, but its so unhealthy and it's starting to show.

5. Fun Question of the Week: Let's get to know each other! What is something most people (er... fellow bloggers) don't know about you?
I sleep with a squishy pillow every night

And
I have a heart-shaped freckle/birthmark on my cheek.

Blogging Barefoot3
Help raise awareness on the impact that a pair of shoes can have on a child's life.
Wanna do more? Check out TOM's One for One Movement. I adore these shoes. I have 1 pair, but am on the market for pair number 2.

McDonald's is still kicking my butt. I can cut cokes, drink a lot of water, and all those other healthy things but McDonald's? Just can't stay away from it! Good luck with your goals!

Well done on your self awareness, it's really good :) I have to give up diet coke and it's going to kill me *wails*

Good luck!

Ughh McDonalds. So good, yet sooo bad. Thankfully there isn't a McDonalds near me, but whenever I get really hungry, I crave french fries. We'll see how long this lasts haha.

I like your goal to get more sleep; a lot of people forget how important sleep is for their health. I need to get on a better sleep schedule myself. Great goals and good luck!

Good luck with your goals! C25k is an awesome program, I did it this past fall and can't recommend it enough to new runners.
