Living Life

I am sooo behind on blogging.
Last Thursday and Friday was UA's Fall Break so I was busy in Birmingham visiting and had a very eventful weekend.

Thursday I spent the day at Oak Mountain Elementary School. I volunteered in some of the special education classrooms and got a feel for the school. It was awesome. I also ate lunch with a very special little girl, Halle! She is getting so big. She is in 2nd grade. After lunch, I also read a book to her class. She was on cloud 9. After school, I went with Bekah to pick up the other 2 chickadees and I also picked up LK and we all went back to Scott and Bekah's to hang out. Jenn got off work at 6 so she came and picked Lk up and I stayed and had dinner with Scott, Bekah, Halle, Carter, and Cooper. We have pasta shells filled with meat, cheese, and spaghetti sauce. It was sooo good.

And Cooper with the evidence of what he had just eaten...
all over him!!!

Friday I woke up and met Heather at the galleria. We shopped around for bridesmaid shoes and of course found some, but they were all so pricey! We had lunch and shopped some more.
After we finished shopping, we went to Eric's (Heather's fiance's) and did the 30 day shred. We almost died!

Friday night Kelley and I went to eat Mexican (my favorite) and went to see this...

Me and Kelley before we left for the movie
Heather, Sara, and I before the movie
It is obvious that Heather and I had been shopping together...
Black shirts and scarves?!?

Saturday was a very special day for Carter. He turned 4!!!

Me and Carter @ McDonalds for his party

Carter loves his uncle "Kewey"
After Carter's party, we headed to Ethan and Sara's to watch the Bama game!!
ROLL TIDE!!!

Me and Sara.
We hung out there all day and after the LSU/FL game, we went here...
Sloss Fright Furnace!!

I don't do well at haunted houses...I barely remember anything because I was tucked in the back of the person in front of me the whole time (sorry Ethan!). Poor Kelley...I practically made him walk on top of me. (I made him stand soo close behind me). The scary people definitely sense fear...they all went straight for me!

Today, Kelley and I were really productive. We cleaned his apartment and did homework most of the day.

Tonight, we made Halloween cookies...they were soo good!

I made this with the left over dough.

We also watched this tonight...
It was really funny, but it also made me do this...

Yes I burnt round number 2 of cookies.
I had a wonderful break from school, but it went by way to fast.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

XoXo

I DON'T BELIEVE IT!

Yes, I'm aware that reading a post from 2 years ago is a bit strange, but I wanted to see where it all began.

Anyway - what first caught my eye as I was scrolling down was that it said LSU/FL game - my hub went to LSU and I live in FL, so naturally that got my attention...

...BUT THEN...

I saw SLOSS. And all of a sudden it hit me. THAT'S the name of the place that I have tried to remember for YEARS! I went to Samford and we had a party there (nice, clean, fun - haha!) one night. I remember climbing up on things dancing. It was so fun (okay, slightly creepy). But for all these years I could not for the life of me remember what that place was! Thanks!

Wow. The power of a blog. Ha!
