What I'm loving Wednesday

I'm loving that I finally finished this book...

Finally, not as in lack of interest, but lack of time. I read all three books in the L.A. Candy series and I highly recommend them all.

I'm loving that Lauren Conrad has started a book club...

And it's not too late to join.

The first book is by Tina Fey.

I just started it yesterday, but it's so funny. Check out Laurenconrad.com if you wanna join. Our first discussion is tomorrow. I have lots of reading to do today, but it's doable.

I'm loving this picture that I took yesterday on the beach.

I'm loving that my friend, Caroline, and I had a lovely dinner together last night.

I'm loving that I have some stuff arriving today from walmart.com. I am dying for some new toiletries that I cannot get anywhere on this island. The things I can get are ridiculously expensive. I spent $7 on hair spray yesterday. The bad part is that I might use it once every 2 weeks. Oh well.

I'm loving that it's summer vacation for my sisters back home, which means more free time for them to blog/email/skype. I am really missing my friends and family lately. On a bad note, it also means more free time for them to all hang out together at the pool and on other outings. I feel slightly left out.

Miscellany Monday

{ONE}

Who saw the world premiere trailer for Breaking Dawn last night? It's pretty much the only reason I watched the MTV movie awards. It was amazing and of course, left me wanting more!!

{TWO}

My friend, Caroline, is leaving Harbour Island on Friday. I'm so sad, but I'm going to make the most of her last 4 days here. Actually as I was writing this, I walked onto my porch and she was there waiting for me. We have a pool date today, smoothies will probably be involved.

{THREE}

Today is my boss, Alicia's, birthday. Matt rented out the cute, new place in town tonight for her party. I'm so excited. I'll take lots of pics.

{FOUR}

A friend of mine just opened a beauty salon here. I'm going in for a mani/pedi ASAP!! I cannot wait. I've been having withdrawals since I left the states.

Sunday funday

It's that time again. All of us on Harbour Island have one day off and it just happens to be today. Well actually every Sunday. We are getting a bit of a late start today, but sleeping in is amazing!! A friend of mine just bought 2 jet skis so we are taking one out today. So excited.

Happy day!!

It's amazing how much sleep can affect your mood. I feel like I have been kind of a grouch the last couple of days, buy after my 6 hour nap yesterday I am feeling much better. I'm actually so mad at myself for being so ungrateful, in a way, for everything that I have.

So today I'm better and I'm feeling inspirational. Happy Saturday!!

Friday favorites

My favorite bachelorette men.

I'm thinking that this good looking man is my favorite as of now.

I didn't like when he kissed her on the first episode, but his true colors came out on episode 2. I think he is a genuine guy who is pretty easy on the eyes too.

This guy is one of my faves too.

J.P. is just adorable.

A lot could change throughout the episodes, but I think these are my top two as of now.

I love that Ashley and William danced to this song on their date...in the middle of fountains in Vegas. Geeze Lousie, could you ask for a better date.

BTW, I really liked William until he started bragging about his date with Ashley. He just needs to tone it down a bit.

Tropical Thursday

Thanks for stopping by for another tropical Thursday!!

Today I'm going to share with you guys The Lone Tree.

This tree is known to be one of the most photographed places on the island. It's at the perfect spot for ideal sunset pics. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten to see this spot at sunset, but I can only imagine how gorgeous it would be.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

{ONE}

I'm loving that today is Wednesday, which means music group!! Last week's got cancelled because Posey was

sick.

{TWO}

I'm loving that last night, I had an amazing dinner with my friend Lindsay.

I have a friend who is the executive chef at the nicest resort on the island, Pink Sands, so he hooked us up with an incredible dinner. We had a little bit of everything, including lobster and grouper. Two new things for me. I'm becoming a pro at eating new things.

{THREE}

The Bachelorette!!! I'm downloading it now on ITunes and I'm loving that tonight is going to be a relaxing night that includes watching Ashley and her men on my laptop.

{FOUR}

I'm loving my new Bahama phone. Yes, it may be an old school Nokia from 1999, but it was free and it gets the job done!

I know you all are jealous of this baby. Haha!

{FIVE}

I'm loving my daily outings with Posey. Our days usually include a walk in the morning,

A visit to the sheep,

And a walk with the dogs in the afternoon.

{SIX}

I'm loving that Matt brought the dogs from New York last week. Having the dogs here is so much fun!

Miscellany Monday

{ONE}

Sunday funday was a success, as always! It was

just such a relaxing day on the beach.

{TWO}

I grilled for the first time yesterday. I made hotdogs and hamburgers. Everyone ate them, so I guess that I did a

pretty good job.

{THREE}

Every Sunday night is a happening night for Valentines. Everyone goes there and they have a band. I wanted to play the tambourine so bad so I worked up the courage and played with them for a good 20 minutes. Haha. I attempted another instrument, but I'm not sure what it's called. It was so much fun!

{FOUR}

Last night at dinner, I ate dolphin dip. It's not really dolphin. I guess it's a dolphin fish, but the point is that I ate it. I'm so proud of myself for trying new things. I liked it too!

{FIVE}

Happy Memorial Day although the Bahamas Memorial Day isn't until June 3. I know everyone in the states is enjoying this holiday weekend.
