Happy Halloween!!

Write random and link up.
{Halloween}
I can't believe Halloween is here.
I love fall for so many reasons, but the holidays and all the festivities that go along with the holidays make it such an amazing season.
I had such a nice, relaxing weekend full of Halloween fun.
Happy Halloween from Coral.

{Video Games}
Relaxing weekends for me usually involve video games.
I LOVE old school nintendo games.
Mario Brothers, Super Mario World, and Donkey Kong are my absolute faves.
All of Friday night and a good bit of Saturday and Sunday was spent playing video games.

{Babysitting}
Saturday night I babysat sweet little Indira.
I was her nanny from the time she was born until she was 18 months old.
I quit when I moved to New York, but I always visited her when I was home and now I babysit her on occasion.
 I LOVE this child.

{Movies}
I tried to stick to Halloween movies this weekend, but did watch Horrible Bosses.
HILARIOUS!
 I also watched Rob Zombie's Halloween.
I usually stick to the super PG Coraline type movies, but I usually try to watch at least 1 really scary movie around Halloween.
 I was outnumber by 2 guys so I had to suck it up.  It was actually pretty good.
And back to the PG movies, I watched Hocus Pocus last night.
One of my faves.

{Trick or Treat}
Tonight, I am going trick or treating with my sweet nieces.  They are going dressed as little ballerinas.
Coral is actually going to fit in pretty well with her ballerina outfit.
Can't wait to share pictures tomorrow.
This was taken with a phone so it isn't very good quality.  I will be sure to get some better ones tonight.

What I'm loving Wednesday

So my job in the Bahamas is done and I'm home bound in the next couple of weeks although I'm super sad and will miss these guys tremendously I'm so happy to be going home.

With that said, here is what I'm loving today...

{ONE}
I'm loving that if my sis holds off until her due date or even until the 1st of August, that I will hopefully be home for Colin's entry into the world!!! I'm also loving that I'll be home for some of Kim's maternity leave...we have sister time to catch up on.

{TWO}
On the same note, I'm just loving that I'll be with my entire family again and close to most of my friends... I can't wait for family nights and girls nights with my bff's!!
I especially can't wait to love on all of my babies whenever I feel like it!!

{THREE}
I'm loving that I might be taking this little guy home with me.

{FOUR}
I'm loving that I've talked with some of my awesome previous employers and they are happy to put me to work until I find a new job!! I can't wait to see the kids that I've taken care of in the past.

{FIVE}
I'm loving that my time left in Harbour Island is vacation for me...I'm enjoying sleeping in and hanging out with my friends. I had drinks with a couple of my girlfriends last night at Valentines and this is the sunset we got to experience.
Absolutely gorgeous!!!

Happy Wednesday lovies!!!

M.I.A.

I know I have been missing.in.action lately, but hopefully I will do better starting now.

1. My sister's and I have started a girl's night/bible study once a week. We started tonight and we are beginning with the basics. I have read parts of Purpose Driven Life before, but never did it in a group so we decided this would be a good starting point. We had an awesome time tonight discussing the first few day's and I can't wait to see what is in store as we get further along.

2. I have been spending lots and lots of time with this little one....and I love it! She is at such a fun age. This picture is from our looooong walk this morning.

3. I finally met this perfect little baby...Samual Larkin. He is so precious!
Gotta love the natural mohawk.

This video made my day so I had to share it. Enjoy.

Can I just say that I am counting down the minutes to kickoff Saturday?? ROLL TIDE ROLL.

I will be spending my weekend in Tuscaloosa and I cannot even express how ecstatic I am.

Happy Humpday!

Our week so far....

Monday='d Lazy day @ home...
We had a busy week planned so we had cuddle/movie time.
We watched Up and all took a nap together.
I didn't quite finish it, but heard it's really cute. I'll let you guys know.

Tuesday was a full day of library fun. We joined 2 different summer reading programs to have lots of variety...We participate @ North Shelby Library bc it is close to my brother and sister-in-law, Bekah's, house. We meet up with Bekah, Halle, Carter, and Cooper for fun activities @ NSL.
We also participate @ Hoover Public Library because it is really close to where Alli has therapy and we are in Hoover quite a bit.C

Tuesday we started out at NSL for Blazer's Animal Show. It was really awesome. The animals' included a babboon, a python, a laughing kookaburra, a crow, an alligator, and 2 different porcupines. After the show was over, we checked out lots of books and headed to Chick-fil-a for lunch with Bekah and the kids. After lunch me, Alli, and Ryan headed to the Hoover Library for Safari Greg. He also had cool animals, but he did magic tricks too which the kids loved.

Here are some pictures from our Tuesday:

Today, we planned to go to a Spongebob Party @ the Bessemer Library, but I called today for details and realized that you have to pay to be a part of their summer program. We opted to go to The McWane Center instead. Alli & Ryan had a BLAST.

Today was a bit cooler from all of the rain so Indira and I got to go for a walk and play in the park. She is so stinkin' cute.
Playing Peek-a-boo under the flap on her stroller.
This butterfly loved me. It landed on me like 5 different times.
Indira associates anything that flies with a bird so she kept calling it a "ba". Haha

Here are some fun pics from yesterday and today with sweet Indira.

We conveniently take walks past my favorite houses...haha.
I absolutely love this one and it's for sale.
If only....

I was in the market for a HOUSE.

Tomorrow might be another lazy day for us...I am exhausted.

Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel is sounding pretty good.

Staying busy

Alli, Ryan, & Indira have been keeping me pretty busy.
Here is what my typical day is like:
  • Wake up @ 7 and leave (usually still in my pjs) to go pick up Alli and Ryan
  • Come back to Kim's and let them watch Dora/Spongebob or play with LK (Kim is keeping LK this summer) while I get dressed and eat breakfast.
  • Feed the kid's a snack
  • Leave for the daily activities (usually involves parks, picnics, movies, library, etc.)
  • Usually go by Sonic during happy hour for some slushes
  • Head to take them home around 2:30 or 3
  • Once I have dropped Alli and Ryan off @ home, I head downtown to babysit Indira. I get there between 3:30 and 4.
  • Indira is usually waking up from her nap when I get there.
  • We have a snack and go for a walk around Highland.
  • If it is too hot, we play in her playroom with weebles and lots and lots of books!!
  • Around 5:30, Indira gets a bath and gets dinner around 6.
  • After dinner, we read books, listen to kid's music, rock on the front porch, or color until 7 o'clock rolls around and it is time for me to make the 30-40 min drive back to Helena (depending on traffic).
  • Usually I get home, eat dinner, shower, and get in bed. haha...I am exhausted after a long day of entertaining kids.
Here are some pics from last week's adventures

Aldridge Botanical Gardens
Pool Day with my nieces and nephews
Oak Mountain State Park

This past weekend was kind of busy!!

Friday I babysat late, until around 8:00, and then headed back to Helena for girl's night with Heather. I picked her up and we ate San Antonio's. We stopped by my house to pick me up some stuff to spend the night with her and then we headed to her house. We watched reruns of the Bachelorette and had lots of fun just hanging out.

**She has a sleep number bed and it is AMAZING!!

Saturday we slept in a little and decided to go to the pool for a couple of hours before we had to road trip it to Weogufka for Wes and Loren's wedding. It was super hot outside and we got lots of sun.

Woegufka is a very small town near Sylacauga. We made the nearly 2 hour drive and was seconds from being late. It was a nice, small wedding and then we headed back to Birmingham. We all hung out Saturday night and I really enjoyed getting to spend so much time with Heather!! (She was my roommate in college)
Sunday was a nice, relaxing day. I slept in late and stayed in comfy clothes all day!!

Until next time, have a great week! Happy Monday!

Me with Alli and Ryan's baby brother, Charles. He stays home with his mommy, but I did get to stay with him for a couple of hours on Friday. He is soo tiny and so sweet!!!

Wishful Wednesday

What does your dream bedroom look like?

"I wish" I could come home to this
bedroom each and every night!!!

Today, I got to spend some one-on-one quality time with my sweet nephew, Cooper.

We hung out and layed low for a little bit this morning and then went to visit "ya-ya" (my mom) at work.

Such a proud ya-ya!!
We stayed and had lunch and then headed on our way. We spent the rest of the afternoon at McWane Center.

Pics from all of our fun!!

Nemo and Dori!!
Even Gil was there. :)
The shark that we got to touch. We spent most of our time at this exhibit...so much fun!

Cooper went with me to babysit Indira...they had so much fun playing and lovin' on each other.

Happy Wednesday.

PS. I was contacted today about interviewing with Trace Crossings, the school where I did my internship. (My dream job) It is scheduled for next Thursday!! I am so excited.
