It's okay...

-to have fast food breakfast twice in one week.

-to spend your entire day off at the pool with the BFF. #notveryproductive

-to still not be unpacked even though ive been home for 10 days...it's way too overwhelming.

Almost as overwhelming as living out of suitcases. Ha!

-to have stayed out until 11 drinking margaritas on a work night... No worries. I feel good this morning.

-to gawk at the daily living social escapes, knowing that I can't afford to buy one. One day I will!!

-to have insecurities...everyone does. I'm working on embracing mine...you should too.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving SOOOO many things today. I have so much to be grateful for...

{Baking, baking, and more baking}

I'm loving being a little Betty Crocker. I made these yummies last night.

And yes, there is a step for licking the bowl.

That would be step 5.

I might have eaten a lot of cake batter....oops!

I actually had so much batter that I didn't even want one of the finished cupcakes. :)

{Boys will be boys}

I'm loving spending time with these 2 cuties.

I'm loving cuddles with sweet baby C!

I'm so excited for the new season of BP.

Although it can be very dramatic and somewhat annoying at times, I love it!

I have a few favorites on the show and a few that I cannot really stand.

I started the 3 hour!! episode last night, but haven't finished it yet.

I think watching it in small increments works best for me. Haha.

I'm slightly ADD and it becomes so repetitive with the whole this is what has happened, this is what's happening, and this is what is going to happen. Seriously? Just let me watch the show!

{Ocoee Zip}

I'm loving that this weekend I'm going zip lining!!

I've never been before and I will probably be like a kid on Christmas Even come Friday night.

Saturday, I will roadtrip to Tennessee with a friend of mine for this fun little adventure.

I'm really really loving that Saturday night, I'm going to dinner with some friends.

Japanese is my all-time favorite and I haven't had it in about 2 months!!

{Nanny}

I'm loving that I have a trial run with a new family this Friday.

It's a family with 4 kids, but 3 are in school so I will mostly just have one child.

I hope it works out well and that I will get offered the job.

The Nanny Diaries

I'm loving being back home (although I miss the island and all of my friends soooo much!!).

There is just something about taking care of little ones and getting to do all the things I love at the same time...

This morning I picked up the 2 boys (Charles and Ryan-no Alli today bc she started school) and we headed to my sister's to play for a bit (bonus I get to see Blakely and LK). Since it was only like 8:30, it still felt kind of nice outside so we decided to go for a walk.

The babies enjoyed cruising and the big kids enjoyed walking Coral on her leash.

Last week, we enjoyed a day at the zoo. It was like 79 degrees with a 100% chance of rain, but it was $5 fun day. We risked it, but it barely sprinkled at all. It was such a fun time.

It was Charles' first time at the zoo and he loved cruising around in his stroller and checking out the animals. I think his favorite was the monkeys.

Yesterday, I only had the 2 big kids (Alli and Ryan). We spent the entire day park hopping. Again, it wasn't too hot so we took advantage of it.

The second park we went to had a nice wooded trail that we decided to take a walk down. It was so much fun and Coral loved it.

I'm really loving my lazy nights at home with my sister, Kim, and her hubby and baby C.

Renting $1 movies from the redbox and eating delicious homemade meals is my idea of a great night. Haha. Yes, I'm 25 and feel like I'm 40. Oh well!

I would recommend all of these movies...they were all well worth the 1 dollar.

This little guy makes feeling like an old fart all worth it...

I did some work on the ol' blog this weekend. I was even able to design a blog button. I'd love for you to grab it. I love changing little things here and there on my blog.

{Phone}

I took my phone by the apple store this weekend to get it looked at. It's been dysfunctional lately. Lucky me, because I got a new phone. Go me! It's nice to have a phone that works properly again. Still can't wait for the iPhone 5 though!!

{Baking}

I've been kind of obsessed with baking lately. I'm dying to make a peanut butter cake, which is my favorite.

I also wanna do funfetti cupcakes.

I think the best part about these is licking the bowl. I know, I know....this is frowned upon bc of raw eggs, but I grew up doing this and I'm just fine.

Coral's new hot pink collar. So what if it was made for a kitty. Haha. It was the only pink collar at Publix.

I mean seriously it has bonefish on it...how much more Harbour island-ish can it get?

I'm loving Subway right now. There is something about a fresh sandwich when it is so hot outside.

{favorite item to bake}

I love making cakes and cupcakes. Today I brought Alli, Ryan, and Charles for a play date with my brother's kids Halle, Carter, and Cooper. We decided to bake a cake. So yummy!!

The Simple Things

Being back in the states makes me really appreciate the simple things that aren't a part of everyday island life...

-drive thru's
-sweet tea
-cars as opposed get getting everywhere by golf cart
-Internet that doesn't go out every 5 seconds
-movie theaters, even though I haven't made it there yet
-puppy kisses
-last, but def not least, having my family and friends within driving distance is the greatest!!!

The Name Game

What does your blog name mean or why/how did you choose it.

My blog name is short, sweet, and to the point...The Sweet Life.

I love the little things in life and try to make everything positive. I am a pretty happy person that tries not to take anything for granted.

Eventually I would love to get a little bit more creative with my blog and my blog name, but for now it's just The Sweet Life because it suits me at the moment.

What I'm loving Wednesday

{Colin}

I finally got to meet my precious nephew, Colin.

My first time holding him.

He is the absolute sweetest thing.

All clean and smelling delicious after his bath last night.

{New job}

I started my new job yesterday.

This is Alli, Ryan, and Charles.

I've been keeping Alli during her breaks from school for several years. I also kept Ryan last summer, but yesterday was my first day having all 3. It went great. Charles is such a sweetie.

I took them to my sister, Jenn's house. I got to visit with LK and Blakely and the kids had so much fun playing, picnicking, and watching a movie together. It was such a fun day!!

{Pool}

Today I only have the 2 big kids. We are heading to the pool soon to meet up with Jenn, LK, and Blakely. We are all packed with sunscreen, food, drinks, and floats.

{Coral}

Coral is adjusting really well. She has been slightly tortured by several kids, but she tolerates it well. She has been sleeping in bed with me and I love having her!!

She has gotten to where she loves riding in my lap when we are in the car.
