What I'm loving Wednesday

So my job in the Bahamas is done and I'm home bound in the next couple of weeks although I'm super sad and will miss these guys tremendously I'm so happy to be going home.

With that said, here is what I'm loving today...

{ONE}

I'm loving that if my sis holds off until her due date or even until the 1st of August, that I will hopefully be home for Colin's entry into the world!!! I'm also loving that I'll be home for some of Kim's maternity leave...we have sister time to catch up on.

{TWO}

On the same note, I'm just loving that I'll be with my entire family again and close to most of my friends... I can't wait for family nights and girls nights with my bff's!!

I especially can't wait to love on all of my babies whenever I feel like it!!

{THREE}

I'm loving that I might be taking this little guy home with me.

{FOUR}

I'm loving that I've talked with some of my awesome previous employers and they are happy to put me to work until I find a new job!! I can't wait to see the kids that I've taken care of in the past.

{FIVE}

I'm loving that my time left in Harbour Island is vacation for me...I'm enjoying sleeping in and hanging out with my friends. I had drinks with a couple of my girlfriends last night at Valentines and this is the sunset we got to experience.

Absolutely gorgeous!!!

Miscellany Monday

{ONE}

Sunday Funday was a success, as usual. We got an early start at 9 and planned to grill on the beach. We made some stops for some snorkeling and spear fishing and then headed to the beach. The guys caught grouper and conch so we had quite the feast. It was such a beautiful day!! We ended the night with a fabulous dinner at Acquapazza, watching the sunset.

{TWO}

I finished Room by Emma Donoghue. Such a good book. I want to bring Jackerjack, the precious 5 year old narrater, to live with me!!

So anyways now I need book recommendations...Thanks guys!

{THREE}

I played dominos for the first time this weekend...so much fun.

{FOUR}

I just found out that my Uncle Jim has leukemia...he started chemotherapy, but isn't handling it well so please pray for him.

{FIVE}

I'm on a 5- way call with my mom and sisters. It's nice to feel included in everything.

{SIX}

I've always wanted to try meditating to see what all the hype was about.

I downloaded this app on my iPhone and I love it!!

If you wanna give meditation a shot, you should def download this app. It's free and it's great for beginners who need guidance.

My favorite thing to do.

Every night when I get off work, I go to the beach.

Sometimes I walk, but last night I just layed on a lounge chair and read.

It was so relaxing to listen to the waves and feel the breeze blowing.

Makes for such a great night!!

Tropical Thursday

I've been slacking on my tropical Thursday posts so I'm just gonna do some catching up.

{ONE}

I'm loving this place...I have good days and bad days, but I think it's due to the fact that I have so much time to think. I'm always wondering if I'm doing the right thing by being here, away from my family and friends. I also worry that the longer I put off starting a career, the harder it's going to be to get a job. I know that I've already lost so much since I graduated. Anyways...moving on to a happier note.

{TWO}

I love that everyday is a new adventure. Aside from eating and water stuff, there isn't much to do here.

Luckily for me I love food and I love being in the water and trying new things.

On a regular basis, we are swimming, beaching, boating, snorkeling, shell collecting, island hopping, and doing various water sports.

This past weekend, I went scuba diving for the first time and yesterday we went kayaking.

It was so much fun!!!! I love this part of island living!!!

{THREE}

I love how friendly everyone is...anytime I get in the golf cart to go anywhere, I wave and am waved to by just about everyone I pass.

Everyone knows everyone and it's just so heartfelt!

{FOUR}

This pretty much sums up my life in Harbour Island...most of the time!!

Okay, so now it's time for thirsty Thursday.

My drink of choice today is a wine spritzer.

I admit, I've never really had one, but since I'm on a big wine kick I thought it only makes since to pick a drink that contains wine.

Ingredients:

4 oz white wine

club soda or mineral water

lime wedge for garnish

Preparation:

Fill a white wine glass or highball glass with ice.

Pour in the wine.

Top with club soda or mineral water.

Garnish with a lime wedge.

Enjoy!!!

What I'm loving Wednesday

I'm loving sky lanterns...

I first saw them on Disney's Tangled and then last night on the Bachelorette! I'm going to be a part of this tradition one day. It's amazing!!

{TWO}

I'm loving this movie...

It's one of my all time favorites!!

I tried to watch it last night, but the download took too long...

I did watch the trailer and it reminded me of how great the soundtrack is. If you've never seen this movie, I highly recommend it.

{THREE}

I'm loving wine!!!

I've been on a wine kick lately, and I'm especially loving Pinot Grigio!

{FOUR}

I'm loving Colbie's new album.

I pre-purchased it on ITunes and it automatically downloaded it yesterday. I'm never disappointed with her music.

My favorite song is I Do.

{FIVE}

I'm loving the Bachelorette, as always! I'm so excited for hometown dates next week!!

I went scuba diving this weekend. It was my first time and I almost chickened out. I was freaking out, but went through with it. It was amazing! We went to a place called Sea Gardens.

Yesterday was Bahamian Independence Day...

I have finally gotten to the point where I crave water instead of soda!! Yah!!

This $10 beach bag that I bought at the airport has replaced my purse. It's nice to always be prepared with my favorite beach supplies.

My favorite scent is Bombshell by Victoria Secret. It's fresh and clean without being too strong.
