The cutest family ever!
Scott (my brother), Bekah, Halle, Carter, and Cooper Christmas 08

Such a good lookin' family

Cooper is such a blessing...always the happiest baby on the block! He has been so tough from day one...you have to be with a big brother that doesn't understand the term "gentle". I cannot believe we now have two one-year old's in the family. He and Londyn Kate are the best of friends. I just love watching them together. He especially loves her to pieces. She plays a little hard to get...like most girls.
It has become harder and harder to find enough time to visit all the nieces and nephews, but I enjoy so much spending time with each and every one of them. We celebrated his first birthday last Thursday, while at the beach. He loved when we sang "Happy Birthday". He made quite the mess with the cake....Here are some pics.

The cake
He wasn't afraid to dig right in.

Singin' happy birthday....all smiles

He has had enough...guess he was ready to get out. He sat right in the cake!
HILARIOUS

His momma and daddy had planned a nice night out together after his bday celebration so I got the honor of cleaning him up.
Here he is after his bath.
I love you "Coop"!!!

So I have quite a bit to blog about tonight!  I have had a really busy week/weekend.  As most of you know, I was at the beach last week for some family fun.  It was a great time.  The weather was wonderful…zero rainy days!  We spent every day out on the beach and at the pool….from 9 to 5.  We went through lots of sunscreen.  It was like 100 degrees every day.  I did lots of reading and finished book 3 of the Twilight Saga, Eclipse, and half of book 4, Breaking Dawn.  It’s at a very intense part of the book and I can’t wait to finish it this week.  All 30 of us made it to a nice dinner on Wednesday night.  We went to Hammerhead Fred’s, which was so good.  Thursday morning, we woke up early and headed to Shipwreck Island, a water park that my family has visited every year since I was like 2.  It was lots of fun, especially since there were so many babies on our vacation this year.

My vacation ended a day earlier than expected because I had a friend’s wedding to attend on Saturday.  Friday, Kim, Eli, and I left around 10 for our trip back to Birmingham.  They were already planning on leaving Friday because Kim had class Friday night so I decided to just ride back with them.  Friday night, a bunch of us decided to go out on the town.  Kim, Eli, Heather, Eric, Body, Kelley, and I decided to go to Twist and Shout in five points.  It is a fun little piano bar.  We had a fun night just hanging out.  I wish I had pictures, but my camera battery died and I left my charger at home.

Saturday morning, Kelley and I had to go pick up our friend, Bradford, from the airport.  He flew in from Virginia for the wedding.  Kelley, Bradford and I decided to ride to the wedding with Heather and Eric so they picked us up around 3:30 and we headed to Gadsden.  The wedding was beautiful.  It was at the Silver Lakes Golf Course and it was the first outside wedding I had ever attended.  It was a little hot, but it was so awesome.  The reception was at the country club and Ethan’s parents had an after party at their house in the Silver Lakes Subdivision.  All the attendees of the party stayed the night so needless to say there was a house-full.  We had lots of fun celebrating the newlyweds.

So today, we woke up around noon and headed back to Birmingham.  On the drive back, we all had the bright idea to go see a movie before going to the comedy club tonight for a friend’s birthday.  Going on only a few hours of sleep, we decided to go see The Hangover at 5 in Hoover.  It was hilarious for those of you who haven’t seen it.  After the movie, we headed down the street for Zach’s birthday celebration at the comedy club.  It was a busy, but fun day.  I am happy to be sleeping in my own bed tonight.  Goodnight!

Sweet Summertime

Just a short update...I am at the beach!! YAH! We left this morning around 8, but when you have 6 cars it takes a while to make a 4 1/2 hour trip. We arrived in PCB at 2. Here is a pic of LK eating her foot in the car on the way.

She looks like a deer caught in headlights.

The famiy vacation consists of me, my mom, step-dad, Blaine (stepsister), Kim (sister), Eli (Kim's husband), Jenn (sister), LK (niece), and Justin (brother) in one condo and cousins Larry and Lachelle and their kids Lake, Lexie, and Heath and his girlfried Shelly, cousin Kerry and his kids Rio and Kori, and my aunt Pat and Uncle Billy.

Later this week, there are more to come. My brother, Scott, and his wife Bekah and their kids Halle, Carter, and Cooper are coming down on Tuesday night. And on Wednesday, my stepsister, Brooke, and my nephew, Landen, are coming down.

We have to condos at Long Beach and we'll have a third later this week. We spent the evening playing at the pool and just hanging out. We were all a little exhausted from the trip.

Here is a picture of under the couch in one of the condo's. Look closely, there were skittles and pizza crust...pretty gross! I guess the cleaning crew forgot about under the couch.

That's all for now. Goodnight!

Life

Yesterday was an extremely laid back day. Alli, Kelley, Kim, and I just hung out around the house. Alli did lots of coloring, reading, and writing. I snuck in enough time to watch He's Just Not That Into You since I fell asleep and didn't make it through last time. It is amazing for those of you who haven't seen it. Afterwards, Alli watched some Spongebob and we went to the grocery store to stock up on some healthy fruit.
Courtney called around 1 and asked if Alli could spend the night with me at Kim's because she was dealing with some family stuff.
We had planned on having a cookout at Kim and Eli's house last night. Candace, Jonathan, Maggy, and Addison came over to have dinner and hang out for a while. It turned out well because Maggy had someone to play with and Alli wasn't having to entertain herself.
We had steaks, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole...so yummy.
After dinner, our guests left and we decided to watch The Passengers. Great movie...by the way Alli was asleep by this time so she wasn't being corrupted by watching an adult movie! The movie was great though and of course, I cried.

Me and Kelley again

Today has been a pretty low key day. I woke up around 8:30 and ate some cereal. Alli did some homework and read some library books. Kelley woke up around 9, and we decided to watch Doubt. It was pretty good, but isn't something I would want to re-watch. We signedup for a free trial with Netflix so we are going to be watching lots of movies for the next month.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing...actually Alli and I didn't even get out of our pj's until like 3. Around 3, Courtney called so we headed to her work. Kelley went with me and then we headed to Birmingham because he had class tonight.
Kelley needed to get a haircut so we went by Brookwood Mall on the way to his place. He got a haircut, I got some really cheap bathing suits from VS's semi-annual sale, and I got some noodles from Man chi wok. Then we headed to his place. He packed some clothes for the weekend in Albertville and then we headed out. He headed to class and I ran a few errands and came back to Kim and Eli's. Since he is leaving to go home for the weekend, he decided to drive his car back out to Kim and Eli's tonight.
I stopped by Old Navy and got a new beach towel and a new pair of flip flops and then headed to the tanning bed. I am leaving for the beach in 2 days and have been trying to work on my tan. I bought a one week package for $10 at a place in Hoover. Not bad!
When I got back to Kim's, I showered and started the packing process...I hate packing! No matter how light I try to pack, it NEVER works out. I will let you guys know how it turns out.

New haircut

I love him!!!
(Excuse my wet hair...just had a shower)

Now Kelley and I are about to watch Yes Man and eat a bowl of Fruity Pebbles. I hope you guys have a nice night and a wonderful Friday!
